Iran President Masoud Pezeshkian just appeared on state TV in what appears to be a recorded video message.

He expresses his condolences over the death of Iran Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, and says that the interim leadership council has started its work.

According to Iranian state media, Pezeshkian is himself part of the three-man interim committee that has stepped in to avoid a vacuum while Iran's clerical body selects the next supreme leader. He's reported to be working with Mohseni Ejehei, the head of the judiciary, and Ayatollah Ali Reza Arafi.

Pezeshkian also says that country’s armed forces will “disappoint” the enemies, and they are currently “crushing enemy’s bases”.

And what’s the alternative? Continue firing a few drones and 2-3 missile salvos until US magically agrees to Iran having a nuclear enrichment program?

Iran couldn’t hit any single critical U.S. military asset to make them change their calculations.

The enemy isn’t going to agree to Iran’s terms just because iran hits some airbases and hotels and airports.

Unlikely - even if they stop aid to Israel, they won't proactively get Israel to roll back any new facts it has established on the ground.

I know it's off topic but Pakistan should immediately order 100 J-10C from china. Because if the example of Venezuela and Iran told us one thing it is that China won't come for our help during any future war with Israel/USA. So better whatever you can get from them before the war, the better.

Increase range of our missiles to atleast 4000 km. Make them cjeaper to produce. Have production lines in all provinces for drones and missiles. Increase production of GBUs, and anti-ship missiles. Increase ranges and quantities of our SAMs.

UAE says three killed in Iranian attacks

The UAE Ministry of Defense (MoD) says three people have been killed by Iranian attacks since yesterday.

In a statement, the ministry says it has dealt with 167 missiles and 541 Iranian drones so far. Of those drones, 35 fell within the country’s territory, resulting in three deaths and 58 minor injuries as well as "material damage".

The ministry says it remains on high alert and is ready to respond to any threats.

US sinks Iranian warship, says Central Command

An Iranian warship has been sunk by US forces, US Central Command says.

In a post on X, Centcom says US forces struck a Jamaran-class corvette during the start of Operation Epic Fury on Saturday.

"The ship is currently sinking to the bottom of the Gulf of Oman at a Chah Bahar pier," Centcom adds.
