Operation Ghazab Lil Haq (Pakistan - Afghanistan War)

The US offered Pakistan to take whatever it wanted from stockpiles of weapons it was leaving behind in Afghanistan.

Pakistan took what it thought was worth it, and left the rest because it was considered too expensive bring over.

07/05/2015: US hands over used combat aircraft, other weapons: Dawn

The United States has handed over 14 combat aircraft, 59 military trainer jets and 374 armoured personnel carriers to Pakistan from the weapons it is leaving behind in the region, reports the Congressional Research Service.

The main barrier was that Pakistan couldn't afford the shipment costs.
Hi,

It happened for a time being---then Biden stopped it---. That is my understanding.

Shipment cost---they were just siting across border.

Yes, Pakistan couldn't afford it or thought the remaining equipment wasn't worth the hassle.

It's like the Soviets left 2,000 SCUD-B ballistic missiles with their puppet Government in Afghanistan.

How many did Pakistan bother to grab? None.

Hi,

Biden was a pakistan hater---. His govt stopped all assistance to pakistan.

This equipment was left for ANA to manage the state's def forces. Americans did not expect ANA to turn tail even before the last aircraft left.

That is why so much working equipment was left.

Well, every country Surrender Modi has hugged in the last 10-12 years is not doing too well. It's like they catch a disease from him or something.
Modi is like King Midas in the Greek Mushrik (read Satanic) mythology! Only difference: whatever Midas touched turned into pure gold (including his own daughter); whatever Modi touches turns into pure cow-dung (including the IAF).....

Hindutva Bharat's ultimate policy: fight Pakistan till the Last Afgan*....

*The conquest of Bharat was spearheaded by the folks coming from what is present-day Afghanistan. No wonder the Bharati leadership is a fan of the Afgans. Only problem: those folks, especially at the leadership roles, were mostly Turkic in origin.

It’s not doable nor is it permitted regardless of what animals do or dont do. You will have Afghan apologists including members and so called online warriors of the cult celebrating this or giving passive aggressive statements.

At this point you are better off letting the natural chemical process of high explosives from a bomb do the job instead of mutilating anyone.
Would the posts be covered? We know that they will try to infiltrate suicide bombers.

How could have Pakistan refused to take those Humvees if they were offered ? I t was just a talk and Pakistan's desire...in reality nothing was offered to Pakistan...what cost are you talking about ? 20000 rs for equipment worth 10 millions.

Nothing was offered. Biden left them on purpose in the hands of Taliban to punish pro Taliban Imrandu led Pakistan.

Update:
Operation Ghazab Lil Haq

On the night of 2/3 March 2026, the Taliban regime carried out fire raids on 36 locations along the Pakistan–Afghanistan international border.

All attacks were successfully repulsed. A total of 32 TTA fighters were killed and 38 injured.

Three brave soldiers of Pakistan also embraced martyrdom while defending the motherland.

Meanwhile, aerial strikes continued overnight in Jalalabad and Nangarhar Province, delivering a devastating blow to terrorist infrastructure.

US Pesh consulate closed until further notice -

I would consider why and it wont be just because of Khamenei situation.
There is something afoot from the Afghanis that puts Peshawar in serious danger.

For contrast - back in 2007-8 when Peshawar was ablaze with bi weekly bombs the consulate was still active.
Back in. 2007-2008 the Americans were heavily committed to Afghanistan and said commitment was only growing and it was one of their major outposts, globally.
Thats no longer the case and they have far less tolerance for risk than they did back then.
Note they haven't shut down diplomatic outposts in MENA at all, despite in some cases getting bombed.

I am guessing that airpower played a role.

Take over Wakhan as a buffer zone

Does anyone have any knowledge about status of Wakhan corridor that is a definite must for ensuring access to central Asia.

Isn't there a link between Wakhan and Siachin? Plus india has a base in Tajikistan.

I am not an advocate of invasion and annexation of afghan territory, but if they do not have any beneficial use for Wakhan then why cannot Pakistan exploit this situation and plan a permanent base in that place? We manage logistics at Siachin so hard is it going to be compared to that?
