A lot of air option is being taken out because airlines refused to fly anywhere near the Area of Operation due to risk, which means there are limited options, with reduced flights. While bombs and missiles keep dropping and they don't wait for nobody...

Strikes by two suspected Iranian Arash-2 kamikaze drones have been recorded in Azerbaijan. It is currently unknown why the Iranian drones were there. One drone crashed into the Nakhchivan airport terminal building, and the second drone crashed near a school in the village of Shekarabad. Maybe they want to use one of those O subs that was repurposed as a special forces boat to carry out some missions near the Iran coast, or evacuate their agents from the coast. Otherwise the O's will merely provide duplicate capability.

Its also possible the US wants to flood the area with attack submarines and not just a few and wanted to remove any challenge to that.

If they are using SSGN (or multiple SSGN) that usually means there will be a ground invasion, because you need to fire 150 Tomahawks in one go, unless you want to do a full count on anything defensive on a sector, you don't need 1 on stand by. That would mean either a full-blown or limited ground war, which is NOT going to go well for us.
