Americans are getting to experience a kind of government us Pakistanis have experienced since Pakistan’s inception. A government of self serving egotistical c**ts. But unlike Pakistan, their's effect the entire planet due to the nature of US's influence and global role.

Actually, insurance at a reasonable rate is a bigger deal than USN escort, especially if it also extends to non-US flagged ships.

Trump has made gas prices and inflation a big political issue, so we might even see a release of oil from the US strategic reserve and forbearance towards Russian exports. He is already trying to bully the UK on the North Sea oil.

I live on a thickly wooded acreage property and if all the trees were to be turned into $100 bills and stuffed into suitcases to 'buy influence' overseas in militias, govts, politicians, media, spies ... oh how easy!
