reasonable assessment
look at 00:24 here:
this is what it should look like
Well IMO a Mowj frigate is more armed even than Type 056/A chinese corvettes. Keep in mind that even without operative long range radars they are equipped with medium range Sayyad. So they´re the most armed light frigates in the world.

Gepard class are with 1.930 tons, so discarded that one.
Not about Iran but PLN ships are a thing of beauty, from the hull to the color and its systems, Iran should take notes of them

Meanwhile IRGC-N first frigate is a much more modern design.
I don't know much about navy and its equipment but I read somewhere that said SM family of SAMs on American warships can conduct surface attacks. These airdefesne missiles can be used as surface to surface missiles. The Sayyads is a recent development and likely still in testing phase. Prior to that they relied on SM-2 for defense. So for longest time Mowj was a underpowered 1960’s designed vessel. If you give me a 2-3 F-16’s then I could sink a Mowj or put it out of commission with glide munitions.
And what “firepower”? Sayyad are defensive weapons. Iran’s Mowj vessels rely on 20+ year old C-802 derivative CMs. No modern navy vessel is quacking in their boots worried about C-802’s. Mowj still lack any VLS component so outside of the Noor or Ghadir missile canisters they rely on cannons for offensive fire power.
So “armed to teeth” is a bit misleading when the weapons on board are relatively dated (minus the recent addition of Sayyads which again is a defensive weapon).

No only they can be used for damaging a ship. A pair of Sayyad are useful to short down any reaper shadowing a flotilla sailing to South Africa to put an example.I haven’t heard of any SM family missiles being used in that capacity in recent times, although it’s theoretically possible.
Russia has used S-300 missiles in a land attack configuration in Ukraine, and I believe Houthi’s have previously used old Surface to Air missiles to hit ground targets.
Not ideal, but possible. I’m not sure how that would work against a moving sea based target vs these examples of a fixed land target.
can you compare harpoon with C-802 derivative ?And what “firepower”? Sayyad are defensive weapons. those standard missile can do surface attack in any navy , in prying mantis those standard missile did a lot more damage to Iran navy than harpoonI don't know much about navy and its equipment but I read somewhere that said SM family of SAMs on American warships can conduct surface attacks.
