China is trying to get as much data as possible from this war. Ballistics information from missiles, us navy/airforce operations, behaviors and more. Just like US did with Russia in Ukraine.

Usually ACC doesn't need to come that close to enemy coast.
It's quite unusual.

Hmm.... Let me address your points.

1. Warships sunk in ports and oceans? Well, warships are a BIG Target anyways and easily spotted by satelites, so it'd be almost an easy target for an enemy with air and naval superiority like the US.

2. Missile bases and nuclear facilities too are SUPER LARGE TARGETS easily identifiable from the air and satelite surveillance.

3. SAMs and radar sites too are easily identifiable targets, and Iran has very few of these despite the large size Iran's landmass has, so they stand out easily, making them easy prey

So for now, the decoys I mentioned about, maybe this could be the case why carrier so close without fear : Maybe Iran already has made the US expended their munitions to destroy anti-ship missile decoys around the coasts? Those are decoys intended to trick the US into thinking they have already destroyed the anti-shipping threat at those coastal areas, to lull USN into a false sense of security that they'd sail so near to Iran's coasts?

So I'm assuming Iran is laying a trap for the USN, but the local IRGC Commander handling dozens of those well-hidden and deeply-dug in anti-ship missile batteries doesn't seem ready to elevate the batteries from underground silos to ground level to push the fire button yet?

Or they will fire once receiving a certain pre-planned mission condition that has been met? ( Like for example, they'll only open fire if they see within targeting data that the ship needs to get closer than 250km for them to engage? Or they're waiting for the 2nd or 3rd carrier to come within range too so Iran can take out multiple carriers out of action in one massive saturation barrage operation? We'll never know for sure, but it's fun to speculate on this)

I am sure China is very interested to learn how Iran bypassed American air defences and precisely hit 4 THAAD radars and 1 EW radar in Qatar within the first 2 days of the war

I do think the news of the Kurds entering is a distraction. Even if Kurds to attempt to enter Iran, their purpose is to act as cannon fodder ie to become a feint to thin out Iranian security forces across Iran.

With the news of the departure of both the French and UK aircraft carriers for the Middle East and the additional US carriers makes me think that the Americans are thinking of capturing an Iranian port like Chabahar, to form a beach head for the invasion of Iran ?

The key thing is when will the French carriers, and UK carriers relocate to the Gulf of Oman also. That will be an indication of invasion of some description to carve out land, from which they can then operate on Iranian terrority.

The next key thing to watch may well be for the ability of Iranian security forces to move around Iran, ie will the Americans start to attack train lines, roads, bridges and maybe this is what the B1's are for ?

Maybe Iran would do well to get 'ahead' of the curve for a change rather than 'reacting' to everything, and actually begin a full mobilization of its Army and also bring in its reservists online and get them all trained up, as it may well need them sooner than later ?

My theory based on what Venezuela really means. WWIII has started and we are in the early phases of it.

A thought, and a theory ( maybe I am getting ahead of my self ?! )....

I think it depends on what else Iran has up it sleeve.


Do they have even better missiles or strategies? And to what extent will they take the gloves off even further

And then can they get Chinese resupply


Both Israel and Iran will have priced in acceptable level of losses for this war, Israel more than Iran.
