Your hope and "enthusiasm" for all comments on this topic has not been proven by facts. The US aircraft carrier is 350km from the coast it seems. They feel safe enough to do that.

Lets accept that some of Irans systems have proven to be ok, ie her balistic missiles. Irans home grounds IADS systems have proven to not be that good, only being able to bring down slow moving drones only and not a single jet fighter anywere "at all".

Alternatively, and if he is really smart, he may be feigning weakness to draw Trump into a ground invasion.

Maybe Tehran genuinely believes it can withstand a ground assault and inflict a high cost on an invader - at this stage of the conflict, it might be Iran's best hope for a victory of sorts.

I'm more liking a sinking of a USN aircraft carrier than a ground war though.

Some say that sinking a carrier will invite a USN Nuke response, but I think that's just a bluff and want to call it out.

Besides, all roads leads to Jannah via martyrdom, so what difference it makes dying from Nukes VS dying from conventional explosions? (if the US really does it)

We get it here if the panels are big enough. I have 13.5KW panels. Don't have an EV and don't have a battery yet, but my panels can easily fill up 30KWh battery every day. 15KWh in an EV will meet my everyday driving needs and more if I buy one. I had plans to buy one but bought a petrol Merc and a Hybrid Chinese instead, my concern was Tesla was losing sales and at the rate EVs modernise, my resale value will go down drastically. I will buy one later, maybe another 5/6 years and if I see EVs are about 50-60% of all car sales.

this wud be the Israelis mostly.. only they benefit in long term with Iranians retaliating by destroying the desalinatiin plants all along the saudi eastern borders including those in the countries facing Iran. GCC economy and popukation wud be cooked for a sizable future.

From day one of this conflict, I have been opposing hitting civilian infra in GCC as that would be playing into the hands of Israel. Israel has already been blamed for False Flag ops in GCC.
Only legit GCC targets would be the bases which are being used to target Iran. The Iranian President has realized that and his 'apology' along with plan not to attack unnecessary places in GCC is correct diplomatic move. As I said some days ago, Iran really has no Samson Option to get out of this war: America and Israel couldn't care less if a destroyed Iran brings down the entire region.

Each aircraft carries a pair of AGM-88 HARM anti-radiation missiles, external fuel tanks under the wings for extended range, and a mixed air-to-air loadout of AIM-120 AMRAAM and AIM-9X Sidewinder missiles for beyond-visual-range and within-visual-range engagements.

This combination underlines the F-16 “Wild Weasel” as a swing-role platform: in a single sortie, the jet can hunt enemy radars, prosecute time-sensitive ground targets, and defend itself or the package against hostile fighters and drones, all while remaining plugged into the joint air picture via modern datalinks and off-board sensors.

At the heart of this configuration is the AGM-88 HARM paired with the AN/ASQ-213 HARM Targeting System pod on the intake station, a pairing that turns the F-16 “Wild Weasel” into a dedicated radar hunter optimized for SEAD/DEAD missions.

The HTS pod passively detects, classifies and geolocates Iranian search and fire-control radars, feeding bearing and range information directly into the HARM’s targeting solution.

In practical terms, this enables rapid F2T2EA (Find, Fix, Track, Target, Engage, Assess) cycles against Iranian surface-to-air missile batteries and command posts: as soon as a radar radiates, the aircraft can generate a targeting basket and launch a HARM on a short timeline, forcing Iranian crews either to shut down and lose situational awareness or to risk being destroyed.

Over multiple waves, this continuous “Wild Weasel” pressure erodes the integrity of Iran’s layered IADS, opening safe corridors for follow-on strike packages and heavy bombers.
