there is something in War which is called "mission kill" if you are able to deny enemy offensive capability with little means you will do it as preferable means,Last time IRGC spokesman/representative did said they fired around 4 BMs at the Lincoln carrier, right? Seeing it's still there 350 km away from Iran's coast, obviously it hasn't suffered any major damages yet.
But from that statement we can tell it's not a serious attempt to sink or disable this carrier group yet because only 4 fired doesn't seem to be enough unless if the accuracy for the ASBM is really good. Experts usually agree that to get through the dense layered AD of a carrier group, defenders need a saturation attack of at least 200 missiles of all types(including Hypersonic ASBMs) to guarantee it can overwhelm the defenses like SM-3s from multiple vectors, so we can see that the previous attempts are not the serious ones aiming to sink it.
Remember Iran has still not declared TOTAL WAR! Iran is fighting a defensive war against aggression. once Iran finds it itself in that place where it will need to declare TOTAL WAR you will find complete mobilization of Iran.
