Iran was attacked illegally. Netanyahu has been begging the US to attack and no sane president would ok the move. Then you and your friends have elected orange and for a few pats on the back - attacks Iran.
When you are asked to negotiate and when the Americans want to appoint your leader - what chances they want to negotiate with ridiculous stuff on agenda?

We can but wait and see. Both sides know this war cannot last for too long, and will eventually need to come to the negotiating table, sooner or later.

The Iranians have a deep history of power and empire.


They have rebuilt many many times in history

I am not giving a value judgement I am just saying this is the thinking, a good portion of the people in Iranian society instinctively understand that the weight and depth of their history will mean war and sacrifice

Clearly, it must be up to the Iranians to select their leaders.

What happens at the negotiating table will depend on who has the stronger hand. Who has the stronger hand will be determined by the outcome of the current round of hostilities.

It is too early to tell who that side will be, since both sides are carrying on to the best of thier respective abilities, and they are formidable on both sides.

What are the Americans or israelis willing to negotiate on, that Iranians can accept?

In fact, the framing of your statement suggests the Americans and israelis have a valid negotiation to begin with? I don't know why don't you elaborate on this

The GCC are and will remain core US satellites at the end of the day, even if the KSA has timidly ventured a bit further away relative to the other micro-states, but will listen to America whenever they throw a tantrum at a given geopolitical juncture. There will always be a hard limit to what they can do with them, same with Turkey on NATO's side. IF they can't see it, they aren't even worthy to be considered serious players at scale, period.

what is there for China to do?? Iran is fighting remarkably well right now. So far none of US strategic goals have been achieved

this war is poised to become another big L for Trump 2.0. way bigger than Doge and tariffs I'd say
