Problem is that Iran will not be allowed to rise to its feet again by Israel, even if a 'secular', Shah-like regime comes to power, which seems like an impossibility as of now.
The best would have been to have left Iran alone to figure it out themselves, no war, no sanctions but that would be unacceptable to Israel because Iran chose to extend its reach to the borders of Israel mostly for the Palestinian cause.
Going forward, much in Asia/Middle East will depend on how this war ends. A battered Iran will be the end of Iran as a sovereign nation even if it would be able to preserve its territory. A prevailed Iran would be the death sentence for Israel and for the American military presence in the Middle East. This war is indeed a pivotal war!

Your historical facts and wish for America to decline is a thing of past and future. The present is Iran getting destroyed and being run over with so many moles that IRGC has to go rouge and independent to attack other countries. Your facts can't change the reality of IRAN situation and the decisions it continues to take. Before the war ends, if it hasn't able to inflict pain and damage on Israeli infra/military leadership. Then history would remember Irani military leadership as the greatest fools who wasted their reserves on the entities that didn't matter

Iran was left on it's own in last 2-3 decades. Mullah regime tried to spread Shia'ism and start proxy wars with other countries. Then foolishly tries to embark on nuclear program which has given them zero benefit and their own country survival is at stake because of it. Iran is stuck b/w two extremes. 1 group who want liberalism, 1 group who wants religious hegemony. I don't see a third option for them.
You don't take on Israel if your own house has leakages. Remember Tipu sultan downfall came from the traitor in his own cabinet? Similarly their fools dream to defend Palestine fell own its own face because moles within were destroying them like a termite.
