Iran - Israel/US War: Israel-US declare war on Iran, Iran responds

U.S. Senator from Connecticut Chris Murphy attended a two-hour briefing on striking Iran, pointing out that America's war plans are inconsistent and chaotic:The actual operational objectives do not include destroying Iran's nuclear weapons program; air strikes alone cannot thoroughly eliminate nuclear materialsRegime change is not actually part of the planThe current operational objectives appear to be destroying Iran's military industry, but there is no consideration of what happens after production capacity is restoredThere is absolutely no contingency plan for Iran blocking the Strait of Hormuz

Did I miss something?
not sure but probably not. Turkey intercepted another Iranian Missouri recently and moved AD systems to South turkey.many of us are wondering if turkey will strike iran if more Iranian missiles attack targets in turkey.

Some parts of this whole story are plausible. Others are not.

Even if it is true that some tankers are getting through (which I remain very sceptical about), why would tankers bound for Pakistan be permitted to complete their journey? This is sanctioned oil that will be intercepted by NATO zealots. Likewise for any Iranian oil going to any nation that is unwilling to protect those shipments with force.

Hence, if shipments are moving, it seems logical that only PRC is realistically capable of defending its supply chain against NATO aggressively.

Pakistani ships carrying Qatari/Saudi Gas and Oil should not hurt either party here

Photos reveal the damage to the Thai cargo ship "Mayruree Naree," which was attacked while passing through the Strait of Hormuz in Omani waters. Rescue efforts for the 23 crew members are underway, and the fire has now been extinguished.

On 11 Mar 2026 GMT+7, reporters stated that the dry bulk carrier "Mayruree Naree," registered in Thailand and part of the Precious Shipping fleet headquartered in Bangkok, was struck by an unidentified object causing a fire. The ship was about 11 nautical miles off the coast of Oman at the time. The fire has since been put out.

Reports indicate the vessel had 23 crew members onboard. Twenty crew were evacuated immediately, while three remained in the engine room to manage the situation.

Admiral Thadawut Thadpitakkul, Chief of Naval Staff, confirmed the Royal Thai Navy received reports that the Thai commercial ship was fired upon in the Strait of Hormuz within Omani waters. The Navy’s Bahrain military unit used diplomatic channels to coordinate with Oman for assistance in rescuing the entire crew. It was confirmed that all 23 crew members survived.

Further updates will be provided as the situation develops.

According to Bloomberg, the war with Iran ultimately evolved into a conflict with an adversary unlike any the U.S. military has ever faced. When the first cruise missiles began striking targets inside Iran, the operation looked like a typical U.S. military action—a rapid strike delivered with overwhelming force. However, by just the second week, U.S. forces were facing unexpected difficulties.Despite Iran’s relatively small military budget—lower even than the GDP of the U.S. state of Vermont—it possesses a vast arsenal of missiles and drones. Tehran has spent years stockpiling these systems and dispersing them across the country. The U.S. military has had to actively deploy expensive and hard-to-replace interceptor missiles to counter Iran’s attacks.According to the Pentagon, the intensity of the attacks has dropped by more than 80 percent, but Tehran continues to strike military facilities and energy infrastructure across the Middle East on a daily basis. Analysts note that in just the first few days of the war, U.S. allies may have expended more than a thousand “Patriot” PAC-3 interceptor missiles. That’s nearly twice the annual production rate for these missiles.“This is the first war in history where an adversary has such formidable capabilities,” said Kelly Grieco, a senior researcher at the Stimson Center. Experts point out that the conflict has also turned into an arms race. “It’s a race to see whose ammunition supply runs out first: ours or Iran’s,” said Mark Cancian, an analyst at the Center for Strategic and International Studies.
