Pak/Saudi defense pact has nothing to do with Iran. It was signed as soon as Qatar was attacked by israel and UAE was found out for its activities in Yemen. It is for protecting KSA against israel/UAE duo which alarmed KSA. KSA also lost trust in US's ability to protect it, hence it took Pakistan with it as a warning to israel/UAE.

Pakistan can push Iran, not to drag KSA into this fight and that is why all of this back and forth visits are going on. This is a war of drones and missiles. Unless Pakistan comes up with something better than Patriots, Pakistan cannot do anything in this situation anyway.
