US core objectives were the destruction of the Iranian military, its ballistic missiles and industry base, destroying its Navy, and the ability for Iran to project power outside its borders. The US is achieving all of these, and that’s a strategic victory for the US.
Nope - the aim was this :
- Regime change in Iran = fail
- Incite civil War in Iran = fail
- Balkanisation of Iran = fail
- Incite proxy terrorist groups like Kurds, MEK to create insurrection in Iran = fail
- Destruction of Iran's ballistic manufacturing = partial limited success..
- Destruction of Iran's nuclear programme = partial limited success.
- Capture and control Iran's oil = fail.
That is why the USA went for Supreme Leader and senior leadership to try and force that.
Regime change was a secondary objective that was contingent on the Iranian people and President Trump made that clear from his opening statement on Feb 28.
Trump backtracked when he realised his plans failed and invented other objectives afterwards. Regime change was the goal.
All of US core objectives are being met with incredible success and I couldn’t be happier with the performance of the US military.
War is politics by other means, and the USA is strategically failing. Bombing alone does not achieve anything if the political goals cannot be achieved.
The Iranian regime is dying. When your ability to hold onto power is only through fear and terrorizing your own citizens your legitimacy is destroyed. The Iranian regime is done, even if that takes years to come to fruition. We’ve seen that time and again in recent years.
Unlikely - the war has had the opposite effect.
US foothold in the Middle East couldn’t be stronger.
US Foothold will decrease over the years. You have not been paying attention to the Arab leadership's comments, and those of think bodies in the middle east. Things will change., that is guaranteed now.
Israel is now the overwhelming regional power.
Turkieye and Egypt are the powers. Turkieye will make Israel into doner kebabs, that is pretty much clear now. What this war has proven is that Israel cannot fight anyone for more than 10-12 days before they have exhausted themselves. They are too small and vulnerable with limited redundancy of infrastructure or supplies and that has not been lost on the powers in the region.
The USA is the real power, Israel is not. This have exposed the vulnerability of Israel.
Israel could not fight Iran for more than 2 weeks before asking for a ceasefire. It is the USA and Israel, who are via intermediaries like Oman, begging for a ceasefire and Iran has rejected them.
The Gulf nations only seek closer ties with the US now, and their security architecture is reliant on the US and the capabilities it provides.
No, they have realised that having such large American presence on their lands has made them targets, where the USA is only defending Israel and not them, and is using bases in their country to defend Israel ... That lesson has been learnt by the Arabs. Even the Saudi's are breaking away from their relationship with the USA with its defence pact with Pakistan !! Something that was once thought unthinkable.
The US/Israel are the clear winners in this war. The Iranians are the weakest now they’ve ever been.
US/Israel are facing collective strategic defeat in their plans.
Wait for the real decisions to take place, once this war is over.
