PAF doesn't have a dedicated CAS aircraft ever since the A5C was retired, nowdays CAS is almost always done by Cobras and Fennecs with gun and rocket pods.
long ago on defence.pk it was debated that A5C had some shelf life or it was retired early.

I know Afghans don't care how many of their foot soldiers die, because their leaders don't care and all they know is war and create chaos for their neighbors and their own people, I'd say before any cease-fire can be reached which I don't think happen anytime soon, we need to take out their equipment/tanks/arti/ammo/depots and once significantly weaken start taking out their leaders, and let the in fighting and chaos take over, create a 20-30 km buffer zone with no Afghan posts in that 20-30km, and constantly patrol the buffer zone with Drones and Quad-copters, and new fort style posts with proper supply lines.

We need to start rotating as many infantry units into action as possible and maybe push FC out the way a bit. Fighting like this is IDEAL for young officers and JCOs to get valuable combat experiance.

10 years from now these platoon and company commanders will be battalion and brigade commanders on front line with India

I will rewrite what I wrote earlier - this offensive against Taliban is partly to also do with situation in Iran. How?

-Pakistan wants to keep an eye on the Western border due to US/Israel there. It wants to keep its Airforce vigilant. Afghan situation provides it the perfect opportunity to not only target Taliban infrastructure but also keep itS AF vigilant on the Western Borders.

-One of Pakistan's main aim is also the complete destruction of Taliban infrastructure and logistics.

-Taking out key leadership is NOT a priority currently. BUT IT CAN CHANGE ANYTIME !

that will be a good idea, I wonder if only FC is doing the ground operations or PA regular units are also involved ? @Panzerkiel can verify it with a emoji haha
I think if it wasn't for the may conflict with India PA would've gone full in and be done with Taliban by now, but give the threat from Yeast neighbor is alive and real and much more fragile they are not full committing a large force on the western border.

Pakistan declines China's push for talks with Kabul

Well Chinese were the first to complain when their workers in Pakistan were attacked, now we are doing something about they want us to stop?

I think they are concerned for their investments in Afghanistan
