I would expect the PAF to be able to generate high hundreds of missions per day against something like India, so hearing of exhaustion on the Afghan front is odd to me.

It's not about the sorties, Simple strike missions in modern aircraft are so easy that it's boring.

Nothing is negligible, you say dozens, so we have to maintain dozens to keep them in optimal operational state. I am sure PAF is up to mark with this, but keep in mind cost to carry out these missions. same or close to it could have been used to secure borders to stop infiltrations.

PAF should not be used as band aid for all problems.

100%. I looked up old data (the actual numbers are in the official PAF History) and it seems PAF were averaging 139 sorties per day in the 17 day 1965 war. PAF are nowhere close to that currently and the tempo can be raised drastically higher inshallah.

The entire PAF was committed as opposed to a couple of squadrons here.

The type of weapons we are using against Afghanistan, we should be able to replace easily it's not like we are firing cruise missiles at them

"Saar why you use PAF Saar" My guy if you think a few strike missions is such a toll on the PAF then they quite literally don't stand chance in any actual conflict but that's clearly not the case.

Also why spent a billion dollars building and Manning a border fence but that didn't stop the infiltrations did it? Literally arguing for the sake of arguing.

The same Haram 'fatwa' that sees them oppressing the Tajiks, Hazara and Uzbeks.
