The only option is to do strikes to establish detterence but when you do permanent damage to the infrastructure and take down 5% of world gas supply people might genuinely start to consider intervening if only to ensure there exists some capacity for themselves

Now would be a good time for Iran to take the initiative. Before Iranian power plants are hit, start hitting Israel first. If the US follows up on that threat and actually bombs Iran, then the counter will be all energy infrastructure in the Middle East. This, of course, will bring the entire GCC into war, and with them, Asim Munir's army as well, but that's a risk Iran has to take because frankly, they do not have any option and should not wait to get decimated first.

Not sure, Iran is retaliating like for like, no sympathy globally for Israel and US support for this war is now hovering around 20%.

the residents at the "Nuclear community" @ Dimona (Most of them work in the nuclear field or at the reactor close by)
