US Defence related thread

People really underestimate the planning and foresight of the US:

In addition to the EPAA - the USEUCOM established the EU Missile Defense System named Operation Atlantic Sentry. This was all in order to protect against the risk of a rogue missile attack with ranges exceeding 4,000KM

There are two US missile defense systems in Romania and Poland coupled with an advanced radar system in Turkey.

Additionally, there are forward based US destroyers in Spain. This is all meant to support the defense of Europe from a rogue nation ballistic missile attack. It’s also called Operation Atlantic Sentry.

It is a U.S. European Command (USEUCOM) with a NATO mission primarily focused on Integrated Air and Missile Defense (IAMD). Its specific role involves the operation and integration of advanced radar and interceptor systems to protect the alliance from ballistic missile threats.

It seems back channels are working out something .. latest strikes on Iranian fortifications in and around Hormuz and threat to wipe out Iranian energy generation plants , Iranian statement that the straits is open to all non hostile nations are positive signs.... trump's statement that America is winding down operations also points towards it ..... let's hope sanity prevails .

This can't go past April it takes some time for the gas prices to fall where they were. If the war ends in 3 weeks from now and no shenanigans on the strait by July prices should stabilize to where they should be for the season. The weird thing about this war is if it does end before April is over by July majority of Americans will have forgotten about the conflict. We really do have the memory of a Goldfish thanks to all the crap devices we have to distract us. I remember when Desert Storm ended a year after we were still talking about it as if it just happened and now a former president who is running again gets shot and almost gets killed and 2 months later it's in the past.

General perception is that war will linger on till the end of April , if it lingers on for that long probabilities of it becoming a wider regional war increase oxponentially....it will be devastating for Iran...

Just checked Donald Trump's "Truth Social" posts. He's been busy, screenshot three of them....

Why Iran allows Japan to pass through SoH?

Every second day, they announce we are entering the war but then nothing.
There is still a lot of naval presence in Red Sea. Plus in previous conflict with US, much of their weapons capabilities are degraded . Iranian supply has also dried up so they are keeping their heads down (for now).
Plus plenty of international military facilities are stationed just across from Yemen on Djibouti just for this very purpose.

I wonder what sort of weapon they used on that? The facility appears as if it was vapourised.
Unfortunately The US has averaged around 800 strikes per day, even the most basic JDAMs would achieve this result with repeated missions.

I'm not certain if that figure is correct. The number is likely down around 350-400 per day.

You could be right. I don't know. Frankly haven't been interested in listening to briefing highlights.

Over 8,000+ combat flights over 19 days works out to an average of 421 per day.
