I get the intent, but I will suggest not to disrespect the word, status and term of Ayatollah with these type of connecting words.

Muslims at large and Iranians especially should know better what Ayatollah means religiously and as a political figure in Iran.

@Oldenwisdom...قول بزرگ .. you were correct to observe about the 'Private Credit' meltdown... with incoming recession/possible global depression... higher and consistent energy prices are going to make Cost of Living Crisis unbearable for everyone.. everywhere.

I expect around 10000+ Iranians dead - of all ages - on the lower end and on the higher end it could go to six figures. Number of wounded will be many multiples of each... as this tit-for-tat carries on it will create Frustration and Angst on the Hegmon's side... including supporters.

The Problem with Iran is that as State it has NOT figured out yet what Modernity is. The so-called Reformist/Moderates are Coconuts ..seeking a 'good-boy... good-boy.. ' belly rub... and the so-called Conservatives trapped in Times long gone or yet to come.

Meant no insult to anyone. But we Browns have such a deep rooted acceptance of our Inferiority that entire Futures of 100s of millions have been sold dirt-cheap/free by the ' good-boy' rulers.
Case in Point British Rule enabled by the local coconuts... and they are still there..everywhere.. no one is Free or Sovereign.

Its either Freedom or Vassalage. There is NO middle ground.

I didn't expect Iran to last this long... because Reformists' desire for acceptance from the West. But I stand corrected.

One should avoid War to the max.. but whence engaged the weaker party has everything at stake.

Should Iran last 3 more weeks then Iran will gain Independence and Sovereignty... yes paid in blood and treasure.. including children.

Should Iran agree to Ceasefire without achieving any Solid Advantage... then Iran will become a Vassal of the Hegemon or/and of Russia and China.

Now in front of Iran is Future full of Terrible possibilities.. both good and bad..

If Iran holds its nerve and doesn't loose it on the Diplomatic Table... then it stands a chance... emotions and patriotism of the good Iranians notwithstanding.

I wrote about the Third Actor Dynamics a few years back on the old PDF... I saw at that time a different outcome... with dynamics of that time.. now the Violent Option has broken the Inertia.

One thing I must say... only a fool will trust a vassal carrying water... Focus on the Message and the postman... Iranians are prone to fall for temptations of being 'clever' ... Persian Pride?

This is why its time China takes more an active role in the world, atleast close to its backyard, they should be part of the peace process here and a security guarantor for Iran. They are the only nation that can give a security guarantee when it comes to vs the US.
