No. Because sanctions relief can always be reversed by future administrations where as Iran is being asked to do permanent actions (closing sites and exporting uranium).

Can the condition not be to arrest or role back deployments as the first condition of any ceasefire?
The proposition falls on its face when one side is just gearing up to cover the holes in its approach and restart the war. The emphasis remains on re-engagement and not on peaceful settlement.

True and what are sanctions relief going to do at this point best thing Iran can do is ride this out because 15 point plan is just another trap for them to come in later if Iran doesn’t commit to a strong hand I promise you even if they stop this war unilaterally with Iran Iran should keep on bombing Israeli territory until their cities are laid to ruin and once they have finally exhausted all of their missiles than they call a ceasefire unilaterally

I don't know whether this going to be a meeting between the Americans and the Iranians by the coming weekend or not in Islamabad but the 15 American Points, which Pakistan's Asma Shirazi talked about yesterday, are now on NY Times. Iran has 6 Points demand.
The Israelis are the spoilers as the cowards don't want the Americans to leave fighting and dying for Israel.

The United States has sent Iran a 15-point plan to end the war in the Middle East, according to two officials briefed on the diplomacy, reflecting the Trump administration’s eagerness to find an offramp from the conflict as it grapples with its economic fallout.

It was unclear how widely the plan, delivered by way of Pakistan, had been shared among Iranian officials and whether Iran was likely to accept it as a basis for negotiations. Nor was it clear whether Israel, which has been bombing Iran together with the United States, was on board with the proposal.

But the delivery of the plan showed that the administration was ramping up efforts to conclude a war, now in its fourth week, that has drawn in several other countries.

The New York Times did not see a copy of the plan, but the officials, who spoke on condition of anonymity to discuss sensitive details, shared some of its broad outlines, saying that it addresses Iran’s ballistic missile and nuclear programs.

Israel and the United States have targeted Iran’s ballistic missiles, launchers and production facilities, and its nuclear program in the bombing campaign that began on Feb. 28. American and Israeli leaders have vowed never to allow Iran to possess a nuclear weapon.

But Iran has continued to fire missiles at Israel and neighboring Arab countries and still holds 440 kilograms of highly enriched uranium in its territory.

The plan also discusses maritime routes, one of the officials said. Since the beginning of the war, Iran has effectively blocked most Western ships from safely passing through the Strait of Hormuz, the strategic waterway in and out of the Persian Gulf, cutting the global supply of oil and natural gas, and sending the prices soaring.

For now, there is no indication that the war will let up imminently; Israeli officials have said they expect it to continue for weeks. In a statement, Karoline Leavitt, the White House press secretary, acknowledged diplomacy was underway, but said, “As President Trump and his negotiators explore this newfound possibility of diplomacy, Operation Epic Fury continues unabated to achieve the military objectives laid out by the commander inchief and the Pentagon.”

Pakistan’s army chief, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, has emerged as the key interlocutor between the United States and Iran, with Egypt and Turkey encouraging the Iranians to engage constructively, the officials added. Field Marshal Munir is believed to maintain close ties to Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps, putting him in a position to pass messages between the warring sides, they said.

I personally believe this is a ruse, which the world's media has wholesale bought into, knowingly or otherwise.

Presumably, the main reason is to control oil prices. A second reason is that US-Isr may genuinely aim to catch Iran off guard, though Iran is unlikely to take that particular bait. Iran needs to stay focused for the impending invasion.

A lot of people are saying that more American soldiers are being sent while there are some 'negotiations' through Pakistan going on. Why does it matter if Americans are going to repeat what they were doing before: Attacking while negotiating--and twice? Even in the second time, Iranians were prepared to be deceived/anticipate a deception except the second time the attack's timing was not expected and that's why the senior Iranian leadership was killed right away but Iranians were still prepared enough to retaliate within 1-2 hours and caused massive damage to American assets nearby.

If people in this forum know that the so-called negotiations could be another distraction to attack then I am sure the Iranians also know. And it seems like their top leaders like Aragchai and Pezeskian are even on Western media so they don't seem to be targeted and are also connected with the world--they know what's going on.

The US 15-point is probably based on something real as they are the ones peddling this negotiation nonsense.

Also, I know for a fact that several Iranian MPs have set demands for peace talks with the US. Not in a negotiation setting, but as a requirement for a possible peace treaty in the future.

As you said, this war can only end with a peace treaty now that regime change is no longer an option.

U.S. embargo needs to be lifted and U.S. needs to commit investing 100B+ in Iranian oil, gas, and rare earth metals.

Without US having skin in the game and benefiting from Iran’s development, any sanctions relief will be dead on arrival, as the world (EU, Asia, and Russia) stays clear of Iran for fear of potential new sanctions in the future because there are no American companies.

Thus US needs to invest heavily in the Iranian economy and prosper alongside Iran. This will make it very hard for any future administration to cancel as the final losses would be high.

The conditions set by the US for a comprehensive peace agreement are widely known and nothing new. The issue is that even with the ongoing war and the US's failure to topple the Iranian leadership, they continue to insist on their outrageous demands, which amount to a complete surrender agreement.

Come on! Seriously ! Your leaders had enough time and resources to develop A decent air force and defence. There is no doubt that US can defeat any country in the world. But at what cost. ? The deterrence is all about making the opponent's victory as costly as possible.
