At the same time Iran is wary of US troops on the ground therefore rationing their drone, missiles stockpiles.

A whim of US ground invasion on Iran would mean Iran firing missiles at power plants, desalination plants all over GCC. This will be very disturbing.

Iran will be looking to see where these soldiers "congregate" before the ground attack. They will need a launch pad, and that country will get an extra salvo or two. It will be from one of the PGCC countries.

The war will go on, i think the next step for Iran might be preempting US staging grounds, most likely in Kuwait, UAE and also Marine ships coming in for landing.

I agree with you, Thats exactly a military commander will think, if they have chinese and Russian satellite intel then i am sure the staging areas will be hit with SRBMs and long-range artillery.
