Javad Larijani was a PhD student in theoretical physics at Berkeley as far as I remember.
He founded the Institute for Fundamental Sciences, also known as the IPM.
It used to be two separate graduate schools dedicated to research in theoretical physics and mathematics.

Now it has more schools dedicated to neuroscience, cognitive science, biology, philosophy, chemistry, etc. They do serious research there. They even published a paper on neuroscience in Nature.

The Larijanis are highly educated. Bagher was an endocrinologist that was selected as the top Muslim scientist in medicine once. He was the Head of Tehran University of Medical Sciences for several years. Ali Larijani had a PhD in mathematics. He was an alumni of Sharif University and Tehran University. Sadegh was the only one that pursued Fiqh and Jurisdiction instead of a STEM major.

The US troops are amassing in the M.E., which is within the range of Iranian drones and missiles. What's stopping Iran from hitting them and stopping them in their tracks right now? I hope Iran does not repeat the mistake in their overconfidence that Saddam made during the Gulf War.

It won't play out this way, Troops will land in Saudi and will move to FoBs in Kuwait and Southern Iraq (if possible). They will land in UAE 82nd airborne and then dropped from there into Iran. and Marines will come from south through Chahbahar.

Special Forces, Delta Force and Navy Seals will be dropped separately onto nuclear sites. for extraction or securing the area for chinooks to land, clear the tunnels and extract 60% UF6.

Iran is a fortress surrounded by mountains. It’s an absolute nightmare to invade. Can we also discuss the logistics of getting all those troops to Iran. Like i said my friend, it’s desert and mountains so the logistics would be a nightmare for American troops. You can’t just parachute 82nd airborne into a very heavily militarised country like Iran Chabhar port or not. And I do not see an allied land border, just territories the US barely controls in Iraq? To come through there.

I seriously think, despite what everyone in this thread is saying, the Arabs are posturing and don't intend to join any offensive. Its a scare tactic.

Qatar just seems to be the first to realize that its not working, and will make things worse.

I don't believe the Gulf Arabs will join the war in any real capacity.

Question remains of how many USA Troops are in Centcom HQ in Qatar as of now, actively involved in operations ?! Airspace and land is one thing, but so is the operations center itself.
