Whist I have no doubt that America could beat Iran I think the price that Iran would extract would be so high for America it would be a pyrrhic victory in nature. Honestly, I'm not particularly religious. Therefore, I can only hope for that buffoon to make such a stupid mistake. It will cause all religious figures in the Shiite world to call for Jihad throughout the world.

Khamenei was a political figure more than anything. Millions of Iranians opposed his policies within Iran. Imam Reza is just different. He's possibly the fourth most important figure in the history of Shiite Islam (after Ali, Hussein and Mahdi), at least for many Iranians, Afghans and Pakistanis, if not for Iraqis.
