Even the people who fought the crusaders were Berber (Al moravids and Al monads in North Africa) the fatimids were also Berber in Egypt, the Seljuks were Turkish under alp Arsalan and kilij arsalan, nuruddin Zengi the ruler of Syria was also Turkish, salahuddin ayubbi was Kurdish, Abdullah ibn tolon of tolunid dynasty was Persian etc etc
