It feels like Pakistan is starting to just say fake news after fake news. They been claiming these talks for days now.

If no talks happen in next few days their credibility will tank and people will just ignore them.

boys need some relevance!

or they creating narrative that we tied iran was bein unreasonable and atack KSA so we have to protect Haram shareef etc!

Countries met in Pakistan to prevent disruption in oil shipping through the Strait of Hormuz, a key route for global crude supply.

Proposal:

•Saudi Arabia, Turkey, and Egypt may form a consortium to manage and secure tanker movement.
•Pakistan has been asked to participate.
•Objective is coordinated control, security, and smooth flow of oil shipments.

Diplomatic angle:
•Plan has been informally discussed with both the United States and Iran, indicating a de-escalation attempt rather than conflict.

Why this matters:
•Strait handles ~20% of global oil → any disruption spikes prices.
•This plan aims to remove supply shock risk and stabilize shipping.

By joining consortium without Iran's confidence, Pakistan will loose neutral mediator role, and will severely damage de-escalation efforts. How will they tackle Saudi - Turkey disputes ? If it's Saudi Led consortium then where is Iran? Is it strategically correct to giveup a valuable mediator role and join a proavtive security consortium as a Frontline state?

Let me share my viewpoint.

I believe the main purpose of Saudi Arabia signing an agreement with Pakistan is to protect the rights of the Saudi royal family. Saudi Arabia uses Pakistan's military deterrent capability to ensure the ruling position of the Saudi royal family.

For the Saudi royal family, this is the greatest interest.

We know that China and Pakistan are friendly countries, and Saudi Arabia and China are friendly trade partners. China, Russia, and Iran have cooperative relations. If Saudi Arabia asks Pakistan to join the Epstein coalition to attack Iran, then Pakistan would be standing against China and Russia. Many countries would not accept Iran's defeat.

Saudi Arabia knows the consequences of asking Pakistan to join the Epstein coalition to attack Iran. The Epstein coalition is bound to fail. Looking at the map, Iran's friends do not need to project power over long distances, whereas the U.S. requires a long-term deployment, and Europe does not wish to participate in this war—they have already declined Trump's request for escort. Therefore, remaining neutral is the best choice for now.

If the war expands, Saudi Arabia may ask Pakistan to send troops into Saudi Arabia. The task of the Pakistani army would be to maintain stability and air defense. Saudi Arabia would publicly display DF missiles and the Pakistani military to deter any country attempting to attack Saudi Arabia.

When a nuclear-armed country and a country with long-range missiles stand together, the deterrence is sufficient to ensure Saudi stability.

Although the U.S. strongly hopes for Gulf countries to participate in the war, participating in the war carries enormous risks. If Saudi Arabia does not participate in the war and only asks the Pakistani military to defend Saudi Arabia, we welcome this measure to prevent the escalation of the war.
I think you may have missed a point. I think its to protect Saudi from Israel and possibly even America

PAKISTAN should absolutely SIT OUT this conflict. The sell outs in UAE/Saudi have literally asked for this War - this is not an unprovoked attack on Saudi and as such the so called security pact won't apply in this case. Play stupid games, win stupid prizes - and this is what we're witnessing today.

Pakistan is just hosting peace talks. Nothing more nothing less. If something comes out of it good. If nothing comes out of it, at least Pakistan tried.

Ground operations will happen very soon. I don't see any peace in the next weeks and possibly months.

Ground operation is definitely going to happen. Iran needs to be prepared.
This isn't a classic invasion, because invading Iran requires 300,000-500,000 soldiers and decades of war. Moving 2,000 to 3,000 soldiers is a media spectacle. When they reach the border they will be attacked; in fact, they are already being attacked. American military forces have evacuated Iraq, Syria, Arabia, etc. Which border are they going to invade? It's impossible. It's just another pyrotechnic show of a "victory narrative."

You would think winning their own war would be a higher priority for them.
that's interesting. we have a bunch of ukrainian currently living in Viet Nam to dodge the draft; i see them everywhere. don't be surprised if these ukrainian will disappear once they are able to exist Ukraine

American and Israeli officials are discussing the security of oil infrastructure and the confiscation of enriched uranium as the primary goals of a ground invasion. Iran must prepare, as it is highly probable that thousands of American troops will attempt to invade to achieve these objectives. These ground forces would likely receive heavy support from the US Air Force and Navy.
