I read on Reddit, a Lebanese person asking Israelis what the damage is like...in reality, and the Israeli said essentially, most these missiles aren't that damaging, maybe destroy a house if it's a direct impact and damage the nearby buildings. Would you accept a few dozen houses and buildings destroyed in a city? It's not great and you certainly don't want to be near a strike but a few buildings here and there destroyed isn't a big issue when your are at war with you main enemy.
I see the point, most the impacts I've seen really don't seem to do big damage, sure it's terrifying and you won't want to be within 50 metres of an impact but when there's a few a day hitting randomly across multiple cities, it may never directly affect you.
Obviously hitting infrastructure is far more damaging but these two countries can go back and forth at the level they are at now indefinitely.
