US Perspective on the Iran - Israel / US War

Well, I will tell you this much

There is stuff that I know, and there is stuff that I don't. I know that Russia is providing both targeting solutions and satellite imagery to Iran, that's what I know personally. Then there is stuff that I can't even touch with my credentials. Now, since I am locked out from that (Bear in mind, I had the top 3 security clearances), I don't know what it is. It may be a full SIGINT suit, it may be nothing, I don't know.

And also, from my experience, you won't be able to get them all, even if we have the full spectrum of intel. It is like trying to find a water droplet inside a waterfall. Can we just fly a couple of Warthog flights and try to suppress the Iranian threat in the Gulf? Sure, but you will need to get them right and get them all EVERY SINGLE TIME, which is not easy to do, and above all, this is all going to be reactive, because you will only know when they launch.

And finally, Iran did attack at Random; they attacked a ship twice, once when it was underway, and the second time when it was already abandoned and adrift.
I think we are missing a very important point here :
For Iran, if it's coastline is captured somehow by American Military, it's oil economy will be destroyed. They have 90 million mostly educated people to feed and govern.
Govt in Tehran can't just keep fighting without making compromise at some point.
Iranian society dynamics should be taken into account also.

There is a drop off because 80% of the missiles are getting through to Israel, and now, Iran can take their time and target specific targets of interest with the bigger missiles. There is no need to fire off in bulk older missiles to burn through the interceptor inventory.

No, it’s dropped off because Iranian MRBMs have been so heavily degraded. If interceptor stocks were that low they’d be directing attacks at US/Israeli air bases and operations. Iranian fire has had almost no effect on US/Israeli operations.

Did you not read what @Ali_Baba posted?

Inaccurate reporting…. if stocks were low you’d see attacks directed at the heart of US/Israeli air operations. You don’t see it because MRBMs and their launchers have been heavily attrited.

Also the logic that they can pick and choose targets at a low volume of fire makes zero sense in the middle of a war where US/Israeli hold air superiority over Iran and striking hundreds of targets per day.

I'll say it again. You are only believing that which you want to believe.

Well , you can look at it from another angle... interceptor stocks are low, only important military installations are being protected.

If we attack Iranian coast, that would be it, we will be declaring war with Iran, they will fight us because either that or perish. It's the same situation as the Ukrainian.

If Iran is not going to fight us, they will cave before that happens, which means if we can't resolve it in the short term, we will know what it's going to be once a part of this is being escalated, which is what I am seeing.

I would be furious if I were American.

I'm about to log off as I've some things to do this morning. Did make a note to go look up the Axios article. Suspect it will discuss what I think it will which is continuation of the extended/expanded government subsidies for the Affordable Care Act.

That does seem to put a damper on some of the claims posted in this thread.

Interesting chart by Max Blumenthal ( who I trust alot ) on this thread, with data.

Shocking that they will take away existing spending to fund a "war of choice" for a foreign country. There is virtually no free healthcare as it is in the USA, and now this on top. They are doing this, because if they try and ask for $200billion of " new" money, it will get rejected.

@AZ_HighCountry

Didn't Trump axe the health care funding at the beginning of his term already?
