Iran - Israel/US War: Israel-US declare war on Iran, Iran responds

After this rescue fiasco you would not think USAF would change SOPs for air missions over Iran. If it was this hard extracting 1 airmen from an area relatively near Kuwait, where US has bases, what happens to an F-15E crew going down near the Caspian or Eastern Iran?

I think we may well see a more cuatious approach from the USAF, for sure they cannot afford another "successful" rescue mission like this.

On a related note, hope Pak has not let US station CSAR assets in Baluchistan

Iranian Military f*cd up. US landed 2-C 130s ,that they needed to drop off the vehicles and equipment that was used to search and rescue and to fight. Regarding the C-130s I doubt they expected them to get airborne again.-Essentially crash landing them according to some reports like I said to get heavy machinery in and then abandoning/ blowing up the whole equipment on the way out.

The Iranian authorities response was insane, encouraged local population to go and capture this pilot. Those who were driving for the pilot got totally annihilated by C130 fire. And Mq9 reapers airstrikes . There are shocking reports coming out that the Americans airstrikes cleared the whole area of villages to reduce the threat to this rescue.
Sounds way to Hollywood but the Iranian response was indeed shambolic and slow

This is the wreckage from a breakup, which basically belongs to the category of an aircraft exploding in mid-air and crashing as a result. If it were blown into this state using explosives on purpose, it would take at least one ton of explosives, and they'd need to be placed in the right spots.

Who said it was only bombed with explosives? I thought it was struck from the air as well after the personnel were extracted.

Personally, the US account is entirely believable.

I would imagine the C130 became stuck or unable to safely take off ("stuck" in the context of this doesn't necessarily mean it was sinking in mud!). I would further speculate that 2 helis became stricken due to small arms ground fire and so were rolled into the explosion box manually or with movement aids (presumably they come prepared for such circumstances in CSAR missions).

Then with all assets together, they place their bombs, evacuate on other aircraft, and follow up with an airstrike. Just my speculation, but I do believe that Iranian ground fire was limited to some small arms fire in this case.

Somehow the U.S. was able to land several large planes near Esfahan

Then had time to bring in new planes as well

don't be surprised if Trump now authorises commando raids into IRGC-ASF SSM bases. if they can send hundreds of special forces 40km south of Esfahan without being detected for hours, they can already reach dozens of SSM bases easily.

Difference is that at least the most important Iranian SSM bases would not be used to protected by Iranian commandos.

The difference is that the US knew where to go to get their missing pilot better than Iran. With SSM bases, Iran would just be waiting for US to come to them.

**** Iranians, faking bots..fak u alll...How come u missed that baddie...cuteeee

that could have been best prize ever for Iranians. white folks in USA would've burnt to death.

Oh mannnnnn

You gotta be kidding here. Pvt Jessica Lynch of West Virgina was a pow in Iraq in 2003. But this story reflects that Hollywood style story. :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

Sure, sounds like a very American narrative, and right now Iran seems to be more accurate when giving out info. US Centcom not even admitted to that destroyed E-3 yet....

The ground looks dry, solid sandy, no mud, unlikely those cargo planes got stuck by landing. Because they are expensive I don’t think the US special forces destroyed them for fun,
so the possibility (1) those planes were damaged by missiles or gun shots.
(2) they carried something, left them behind, destroying the evidence.
(3) they simply couldn't take off again.

Second Mf rescued and recovered by US ?? I just woke up please give me some good news.
That would be shameful for Iran if he leaves alive.

disappointing but not shameful. considering the number of planes and helicopters damaged or completely destroyed since the F0-15 was shot down.

as said the area is rugged and very hard to travel even with vehicles due to remoteness. consider Pakistani/ Afghan Tribal belt.

Americans and Israelis bragged about destroying Iranian air defence and with that "destroyed weapons" Iranians managed to shoot down F-15 and a good number of helicopters and planes that came to help with rescue efforts.

please consider this what the Iranian forces are up against. when even surviving the aggression was a big achievement itself.
there are not many examples of such resilience and dedication.

pray that Israel, Americans and their GCC allies are humiliated and humbled more in the coming days.

Maybe the Aircrafts were DAMAGED by Iranians to the point they were not airworthy or feared so. This utter destruction seen in photos and videos is indeed consequence of US completely destroying them so they wouldn't be captured by Iran. Some truth on both sides of the story.
