Iran - Israel/US War: Israel-US declare war on Iran, Iran responds

This rescue op shows one thing. As long as US is able to provide close air support, it'll be very difficult for the IRGC or any other paramilitary to stop Americans from coming in and meeting their objectives. We tend to underestimate some of these systems. Some of these use thermal imaging to target and fire rockets/missiles at ground forces. I presume there would've been quite a few casualties on the side of Iran, on their search parties.

Well now they're going to make J3w movie about this pilot bedding a Muslim Iranian women, saving her from the evil ISLAMIC culture and bringing her back on the same rescue mission. I've come to understand almost all of their war movies post 9/11 has been nothing refined propaganda with a heavy dose of Anti-Islamic in them. This will be no different.

In other news, UAE hired an Israeli hit squad that performed missions in Yemen. There's a lawsuit from the victims going on right now

This was 40km from Isfahan, their 2nd second largest city and home to their largest nuclear facility. If American forces managed to land on the ground, rescue their pilot, wait for another rescue plane to land and then evacuate all without a single casualty how are they going to stop a ground invasion?

No, second largest city it is Masshad.

We don't know if they took another C130 to rescue all or just helicópters. We don't know if all operation took 15 minutes or half of an hour. The only thing we know It is that they took four planes with no regular Army or IRGC.

Again, 4 planes for just one man.

Ok try to land one brigade with 36 aircrafts in the Middle of the desert without armored protection or artillery.

This is the Tally so far.

1 x F15E $90m
2
x A10 ( one crashed in the Persian Gulf, the other in Iraq ) x2 = $30m
1
x F16CJ - possible - damage and crash while returning from Iran. $50m
2
X C130's – destroyed on the ground. x2 = $140m
2
x Black Hawks damaged. x2 = $30m
4
x MH-6 Little Birds x4 = $12m
2
x MQ-9s Reaper x2 = $60m
- unspecified injuries of Spec Ops personnel.

Total = $412 million

Added very rough cost estimates based on the first AI result that pops up on google.

I don't know this site and I don't know how reliable this news piece is.
Can a Pakistani member provide insight? Is Pakistan assisting Saudi Arabia in defending against Iranian missiles and drones?

Wouldn't surprise me one bit if true. Pakistan has the Mutual Defense Agreement with Saudi Arabia but the language is not clear on to what extent one would help the other. You see, just when this attack on Iran started, the Afghans attacked 50+ Pakistani checkposts but there was no Saudi Arabia to be seen on Pakistan's side.
I believe Pakistan is going to stop any incoming Iranian missiles targeting govt or civilian targets in Saudi Arabia but that would be the extent of the 'support'. There is no way, no amount of money given by Saudi Arabia to make Pakistan go hostile against Iran as that would generate a historic rift with costs far higher than some billions the Saudis might give to Pakistan.
Speaking of Saudi Arabia, I think the Iranian rhetoric and targeting is mostly against UAE, Bahrain and Kuwait now. Even Qatar is spared. And Oman is an ally of Iran.

Possibly more as is it accounting inflation from when they were first purchased? Also some of them had very expensive SF mods

It's a failure of coordination, Iran is now probably preparing for ground invasion by fighting a gruelling attrition guerilla war. It is the best way to do so anyway. When you consider they have divided their army into cells, Iraqtried conventionally and it did not work!

Iran need proper command& control

I agree It is a failure in coordination. But I agree also that the total outcome it is positive.

But with the size of the country for covering all áreas Islámic Republic would need a 2 millions regular Army.

I agree guerrilla warfare for those áreas are enough. But also there should be strategically deployed Fateh 360 short range ballistic missiles. Those could cover a 700 diameter fire área. With those even if the guerrillas take contact with special ops or paratroopers, they can easily destroy them in few minutes. 🤔

Reasonable, nothing wrong with us providing air defence to Saudi civilians
