Sea Sultan Long-Range MPA | Updates & Discussion

My apologies/ my bad. After carefully analyzing Sea Sultan again P8I, I have come to the conclusion that Sea Sultan will be just as good as P8I and even better for various electronics. I take my words back. Sea Sultan could perform even better if Pakistan could implement sensor fusion at the level of what the PAF and PNB have done with other assets. There is still a lot to learn about it; however, I hope PN doesn't do cost-cutting and maintains or improves the specifications. In fact, I think Pakistan should buy all 28 L1000 examples over the next 3-5 years and convert them to sea sultan with long-range offshore attack capabilities. With its combat radius, if armed with advanced missiles, Sea Sultan in sizable numbers can create havoc across the Bharati coast line. These 28 could be deployed in numbers armed with pl16 or pl17 could not only be able to defend itself but launch long range munitions along the Indian coast line in the Indian Ocean to the Bay of Bengal. If armed with SMASH/ cm400 or new hypersonic could destroy IN way out in the open seas.

The complexity to integrate additional weapons and then get airframes along with logistics and pilots to do that
 
Been 5 years now and we dont even have a prototype flying yet? I get integration is complicated but we are buying everything off the shelf (airframes, radars etc).

airframe modifications, fabrication and design of mission systems etc. It was all a custom job. They did not prototype. The first aircraft will be delivered this summer

Did not always agree with him, and he could be curt, but yeah, forum was better off with him here I feel, but again, knowing the mods, there must have been a very good reason

Probably but would like some clarity regarding the matter if the reasons behind the banning can be shared by the mods. Regardless of everyone's views, the man was very knowledgeable and I had learnt a great deal from him
