With regards to US foreign policy, in the last 50 years America has directly attacked multiple Muslim countries and indirectly supported insurgencies, terrorists, dictators and economic blockades that include almost the entire Mideast and large parts of North Africa and South Asia, while remaining a blind supporter of Israel. The Pakistan military and by extension the political government makes the decisions not the people. Just look at America, a deeply unpopular war and people are barely even protesting.

Funny how you mentioned South Florida, when i was planning a trip to Destin FL, I was told by 3-4 people who have lived in pass Spring Hill - Brooksville that try not to stop between Spring hill and Panama city, give the a wrong turn could turn deadly.

This is going to the brink, but that is what very high level negotiations are like, both US and Iran know this is not worth the price now.

My guess is a very last minute deal.

The alternative is too horrific to imagine, and the thought of Saudi and PAF jets bombing Iran along with US and Israel truly sickens me to the pit of my stomach

I suspect there will need to be "some more war", before this ends as the tide is turning in Iran's favour now economically as the siege of the Straits are only now taking effect. They are taking big hits, but the cost of this war has not been fully imposed on the USA/Israel yet or the world at large.
