PA MLRS, Self Propelled and towed artillery [BM-11, Fatah-I GMLRS, Fatah-II] - News, Updates & Discussions

How is Fateh-4 different from other ballistic missiles Pakistan has?

@JamD @Bilal @Quwa
It looks like NESCOM have made a big breakthrough in Solid Rocket Motor Engine field so it's pushing the things further.
Reports are that it’s dual pulse. Plus, it’s confirmed that it has a glide vehicle, so it’s not a conventional ballistic missile.

I am quite confident that it’s going to lay the groundwork for HGV.

Fatah Modular Missile Family

Fatah 1 GMRLS (140km) Inducted
Fatah 2 GMRLS (250km) Unknown

Fatah 2 SSM (400km) Inducted
Fatah 3 SSM (450km+) Induction soon
Fatah 4 SSM (700km+) Under Dev
And, couple them with TB2/3s and Akinjis "stealthily" detecting the enemy's strategic/tactical targets and calling for the fire support while flying inside an EW/EA envelope! The destruction of the enemy core assets will be massive as being seen in the Ukrainian War....

According to the Turkish defense expert Mete Yarar at a TV program, during a very recent duel b/w the UAVs from different NATO countries and the Russian EW/EA systems - over the Poland's border with Ukraine - only TB2s could hold the air as all others were compelled to return to their bases aborting their missions.....

Mere bhai. Details on the indigenous radar please.

Also, a separate the Fatah-2 GMRLS (250km) exists?
The one we saw in parade is NASTP SRAD. Should have around 100km range or so I guess.

With the PFX program being pushed maybe the fighter Radar will also see the light of the day and if it does I hope they do a swashplate based system.
there was two projects, read about them here in this article i wrote

afaik though the fighter one may or may not have died
Once you master GAN devices based AESA technology you can use it everywhere including EW/EA systems to counter enemy AESA signals....

Effectiveness of GMLRS, Suicide Drones and Absoluteness of Tanks
One thing i can't get get is why Pak army is so keen on Tanks, why not induct guided 122mm MLRS, guided artillery shells, along with anti personal killer drones, and Light combat vehicles, personal carried loitering munitions, new shoulder fired system to increase firepower of the infantry at squad Level.
Lets just for a moment Look into scenario where an army is equiped with such weapons, can do
The guided Rockets
Rockets like Fateh 1,2,3&4 are launched in salvo at Enemy headquarters, command and control centers, Fuel and ammunition dumps.
The 122mm guided rockets and 155mm guided artillery would see more use in taking out enemy bunkers, Troops and artillery on the border
Suicide Drones
Anti personal drones would take out the enemy troops left after the previous guided artillery on slaught
Small self exploding quad copters with AI swarms tactics would take out enemy troops
Loitering munitions with ranges upto 50-60 km can be used to degrade and destroy enemy Short range and medium range air defense assets
Light combat Vehicles
Equiped with Atgms and MGs and would quickly move in to insert and provide to cover to Infantry, while infantry euipped with ATGMs, anti personal drones, loitering munition and fire support from Guided rockets would be able to hold out its, strike critical targets and Carry oit large scale operations without needing CAS from PAF.
They are just wasting precious money on tanks, which can be used to procure guided rockets, Suicide drones to give the army some serious firepower,
Tanks are just Maintenance and upkeep nightmare.
