Not really a comparison. The reykjavic summit was not a product of Iceland's own power projection. More than thst it was a target of potential colonization for both parties. Also those talks failed. Lets compare the talks if these fail.

Good to see the envy. We will gladly take the limelight if we manage to help fix what other countries started, and we will not be apologetic about it.

You can't compare an ongoing war with the cold war... There was close to no direct confrontation between the US and USSR... This time there alot of geopolitical partners and no two specific blocs like the yester years... We have rifts in the Arab world, rifts in Asia, Europe and U.S aren't getting along... Multiple opportunities to squeeze through some openings for better opportunities... If it wasn't a big deal then Keir Starmer wouldn't have been frantically running around the Gulf states right now for some validation...

I agree with her 100% also. We should have kept a serious tone, as this is a serious negotiation/mediation. Indeed, it is something to be proud of, but pride is best demonstrated through humility. Pakistanis hyped up because of the Bharatis, but there was no need to engage them in any form. Let Bharatis do what the Bharatis do.
