Will Iran join China, Russia and the United States as a fourth major power on the world stage?

Iran's resilience in the face of the U.S.-Israeli war is already shifting the global balance of power, says American political scientist Robert Pape. "What you are seeing with Iran is that its geography, in combination with a level of drone technology that we simply cannot destroy," is demonstrating to other countries that they may not have to stay beholden to U.S. hegemony.

"What makes us think we're really going to stop Iran from becoming a nuclear power in the next six months or a year?" asks Pape. "Iran is far stronger than it was just 40 days ago. It is in control of 20% of the world's oil. It is now an emerging fourth center of power. … The United States is on one side, and the rivals are China, Russia and now Iran."

Those C-130s could be maintenance crew for jets or could be carrying ground troops

Size of Iranian Delegation shows, they came with full understanding and pre agreed conditions to discuss further. All these tweets and sensational news are not real.

You do not come with 15 to 20 people delegation knowing that your two basic pre conditions are not met yet. If nothing is concrete you only send 2 or 3 useless people for formality.

I don't agree with the assertion by this professor that Iran will become a major world power. That wont be the case for some decades(though Iran has the education people to achieve a lot more than it has now). Iran, could however become a major regional power that will eclipse most of the other Arab countries for certain if the sanctions can be removed. A population of 90 million, puts it close to Egypt (112million) though Iran has the advanced of a better educated population and better industrial capabilities for now.

Again all counties need to do is build pipelines around the Strait and that power dream goes out the window

They are probably maintenance and ground crew for the jets... Some SSW personnel could be included as well considering security is still a problem..
