If Pak and US using same airbase and US using them to strike inside Iran...what will be Pak standing, because Iran will try hit again those bases. Saudi seems put Pak Iran relations in such a odd situation. Because its seems PAF and USAF sharing same base.

Hard to see Indian or Israeli forces based in UAE, but these are crazy times and if 2 months ago you would said Iran and US would be chatting to each over over chai and somosa at Islamabad Serena I would have reported the post....

UAE provides refuge to Baloch separatists - Indian and Israeli intelligence activities against Pakistan and is actively involved in providing safe haven for money (although that is a blanket policy of theirs) that is used to fund TTP via TTA.

But it isnt a "always has been" situation but a case of moods and changing loyalties.
Remember, this is where Gen Pasha went for intelligence direction when UaE wanted to both curb Iranian activities and also create a network against both Iran and its "ikhwan".

Afaict pfx never was never a true 5th gen program as those dreams died with Azm. I believe pfx is gonna turn out to be a LO upgrade for jf-17 and that all this hype is just smoke and mirrors. But you are right the fact that we have to make fools of ourselves and have to speculate what actually PACs flagship domestic project is doesn’t inspire confidence.

As others have said before me you can't just turn the JF-17 into LO without essentially making a brand new aircraft, think of it for a second why hasn't any other country tried turning their 4th gens into LO?

I am quite skeptical about the Pakistan Saudi defense pact. In light of Iran-US/Israel war, the defense pact has thrown Pakistan into a quagmire. The Pakistanis had to walk a very thin line, and had the attacks on Saudi by Iran increased Pakistan could have been forced to take sides.

Now that there is a fragile truce, Pakistan has decided to send a contingent to Saudi. This means, if the war proceeds attack on Saudi will most likely not happen.

But where does it leave Pakistan? Financial benefits, does one think it will be a substantial amount that will move the keel?

I very much think it’s a net loss for Pakistan.

some in knowledge says PAF deployment in Saudia is UAE specific i do not know how much water it holds.

Honestly what could a PAF contingent do in Saudi that too in Gulf? Saudia is more then well-armed to engage drones and Ballistic missiles from Iran? that is what i do not understand. what does PAF brings to the table.

Mind you Saudi AF is very good, its ADF is world most battle harden ADF after Entity.
