US Perspective on the Iran - Israel / US War

Trump want 0 enrichment because any other deal will make him look retarded. He is already stupid as **** but want his Maga crowd to believe Iran can make a bomb with 0.1% enriched uranium. It will be humiliating for him to go back to Obama deal which made sure Iran will not make the bomb and was complying before Trump threw it out.

The U.S. blockade has officially gone into effect, and there are more than 15 U.S. warships in place to support the operation, according to a senior U.S. official.

The U.S. has an aircraft carrier, multiple guided-missile destroyers, an amphibious assault ship and several other warships in the Middle East, according to Navy and Central Command officials. These ships have the ability to launch helicopters that support boarding operations, and some are capable of marshalling commercial vessels to specific areas to hold them in place.

More than 15 US warships are in place to support the blockade. The Lincoln carrier group, Tripoli amphib group, and multiple DDGs etc
That's an overkill.

bhai jan
this directly effects us
i have had basically no gas in my house for 20 hours now

I was referring to Trump's Jesus moment.

As for the effects of this war, I sympathize with you and other Pakistanis caught up in the aftermath of a conflict that didn't concern Pakistan.

As my bro @RescueRanger warned since the beginning of this conflict, people should have been stockpiling, especially in countries like Pakistan, in which people will be the hardest hit.

If you want my honest opinion, you should all tighten your belts on expenses and conserve cash going forward. I know this will be difficult for many families, but the savings rate should be 20% of your gross monthly income before expenses, with a minimum of 15%. Even if the conflict stops today, you will see the effects in the system for up to 6 months (minimum) and possibly stretching the whole 12 months.

But it does. Pakistan is caught in between the two camps within Islam, and that is a very tough place to be in the midst of a conflict that it must negotiate.

I was referring more to this U.S.-Israeli initiated conflict, but yes, we've been stuck in this position between the two camps for a while and have had a consistent balancing act in the past, but that's changing, or is being forced by the regional Arab countries.

That balancing act was shattered by the 2025 Strategic Mutual Defense Agreement with Saudi Arabia, an agreement I opposed, given the rivalry in the region. It's befuddled me that Pakistan would sign up for an exchange of money to take a position on the field while the iron is hot in the region.

It has cast its vote, and so it, too, must accept any consequences that come with it.

The MDA is not perplexing, but only logical. Iran is in an untenable position geopolitically after digging a massive hole for itself over the last half century, and Pakistan is choosing the side that it must for its own reasons.

@RescueRanger some sort of GPS spoofing was seen today around the deadline or just after it. Apologies as I had stopped following news since the ceasefire as I felt my incompetent little brain needs some real rest.

@Persian Gulf Any significant issue?

The Indian neutrality approach would have been the most prudent course of action to avoid involvement. Currently, this conflict is escalating into a total war, and as it evolves into a religious confrontation between Sunni and Shia, our internal issues are likely to intensify.

* Do note, the Iran-Iraq War was initially over several rivers, which morphed into an Arab versus Persian conflict, and then a Sunni-Shia conflict; it went from one extreme to another. The main instigators were the Arab's themselves.

For the Americans and the wider Western world, the Sunni-Shia is just a tool for them to use; when the bombs start falling, it doesn't discriminate between the two.

Currently, it's a question of how we balance realism (me) and geopolitical necessity (you) without conflating them. If the geopolitical necessity bleeds into the realist position of spilling over and causing internal issues, who is left in the neutral position to release the pressure to settle the dispute? Leading to a decades-long conflict, which will drain us and the region in terms of liquidity and manpower.

The previous news today about the Bush carrier sailing through the Strait of Gibraltar was false.

The Bush carrier is off the coast of Namibia taking the longer route to the Arabian Sea
