Islamabad Talks - News & Discussions

I don't remember Islamabad having this car horn problem back in the days, sounding like karachi now.

We in Karachi will "horn/honk" at a wall. Clearly, it was the wall's fault for being in our way.
:)

That's an exaggeration. What's not an exaggeration is that there would be hundreds of cars in front of one's vehicle, and hundreds of cars behind, yet one blows the horn as if this will solve the problem.

I lived both in Islamabad and karachi. I can tell. Islo was really peaceful and quiet. Now it's sounding like karachi.

Looks like Iran want to play hard before coming anyway.

It's gradual degentrification , too many Maja sajjas from little towns .

visited a few moths back , its still quite . my karachi brain couldnt handle the peace and quite lmao . think this is just at the big roads and busy streets

I still remember my first night in Islamabad arriving fresh from karachi. You could hear wild jackals running in mustard fields, nasty screams. Pin drop silence.
Nobody honked, guess not much traffic back then.

I have also lived in Islamabad from 2006 to 2013. It was burgeoning then but not yet crowded. But there were hints that it would no longer be peaceful and quiet.

Why would we expect a different result when he keeps sending the same Jewish negotiating team.
If the war has to be restarted, there must be at least an appearance that both parties tried to come to an agreement but failed. More so if the war ends up being more destructive. For all you know, the war may restart as soon as J.D. & Co leave Pakistan.

Isloo was actually peaceful, beautiful and green during 90's. Now that vibe is over, traffic, and people have lost sense of driving. No discipline at all.

Also city isn't as green as it used to be. Lot of trees cut.

Karachi, Lahore are just chaos.

But the impression is that the American experts have arrived in Islamabad. If Iranians are not arriving - or are not even aware of Round 2, as they say - I wonder what the Americans are here for then. I feel Washington has decided to momentarily station negotiators in Islamabad, regardless of whether the Iranians are coming or not.

As if the Iranians have a choice...

If the Iranians so decide, it is a perfectly logical and rational thing to do. With a chasm so wide and deep, it is absurd to imagine they sit together for a day and hammer out a deal.
