Islamabad Talks - News & Discussions

My take-away:

Biggest winners: Iran and Pakistan

Biggest losers: Israil, Bharat, UAE and Afganistan

As for the USA, it's a blessing in disguise. Now is the time to re-build the greater USA by following the Monroe Doctrine 2.0 (i.e, more vigorous and aggressive) with a 100% isolationist agenda. Attitude to the "old world" should be like:

So Trump extends the ceasefire at the behest of Pakistan? Damn, the first time in my life I've seen Pakistani politicians do anything of note lol :)

Ceasefire serves USA, it's like that child who act strong from outside but inside is looking for love and compassion. USA (trump) desperately need end of this war and ceasefire but can't ask for it. So it's just accepting Pakistans request.

If it didn't served trump or USA, woild he still listen to Pakistan or warn us of sending us too to stone age ?

This is true. It is repugnant behaviour.

PURELY in order to spite Pakistan, they are DESPERATE for peace talks to fail under the watch of Pakistanis. It is beyond pathetic. And all the lurkers from India who quietly watch the Iran related threads know this, hence not one of them will respond to this post.

Can they not simply back Pakistani efforts in the name of simple humanity? Or, dare I say, at least for their own energy interests??

I'm telling you guys, they are the living embodiment of the old English expression - cutting off one's nose to spite one's face.
they're (internally) getting close to an implosion from within.
Coming soon.

Your prognosis is premature

JD Vance has for now paused plans to travel to Pakistan for negotiations with Iran over ending the war after a flurry of meetings inside the White House. While Vance could still leave later in the week, Trump is privately discussing canceling the trip.

Man stop shilling for the Arab states. They're not giving you citizenship. I was born in one of them and they didn't give me either. Only Egypt is somewhat real. Rest are all fake states drawn up by the West. They are not worth fighting for online and their people look down upon Pakistanis anyway.

There is no badmashi either. All these Arab states are actively supporting action against Iran, with full consent. Don't we bomb Afghanistan for harbouring TTP? In similar fashion, Iran is bombing Arab states for harbouring hostile forces. There is no malice in this. Any logical military commander in Iran would bomb them.

Say there's an Island nation south of Pakistan. It gives its airspace and airports to house Indian Air Force jets and refuelers. Those Indian jets come and lob missiles at you. Tell me honestly what will you do? Will you give a damn for that Island's sovereignty?
I feel pity on you for your sick-minded mentality. The Arab states give citizenship to some one or no one has nothing to do with respecting the sovereignty of those states.

Also, the case with Afghanistan is different. Taliban is not a representative or recognized government in Afghanistan. At best, they are warlords and at worst, which the case BTW, they are a terrorist group that is holding Afghanistan by the force of bullet. Taliban were engaged in talks by Pakistan, many a times involving other countries too, to dissuade them from sending terrorists into Pakistan. However, the shit of a Greater Afghanistan was pushed under their skulls by Hindutva terrorists. Even then, Pakistan did not bomb Afghanistan indiscriminately. Only their terror infrastructure was targeted.

Iran has no right to violate the sovereignty of Arab states. Having a good or bad government is none of your or Iranians business. It's the sole right of their own citizens.

It's ridiculous. Why Arabs allowed Americans on their soil? Americans fired first missile on Iran from which country? There are no explanations. Arabs secretly want regime change in Iran because Iranian proxies were somewhat encircling important Arab states like Saudia Arab. Slowly, everything fall apart. Assad was the biggest blow to Iran.

Arabs aren't innocent. Arabs estimated that if Iran make nuclear missiles, it will fire it on Arabs. This is right assessment. You can say that Iran can't be trusted but Arabs aren't angels.

You know about Abraham accords and the behaviour of UAE. UAE wants Iran totally destroyed because they want Iranian ports and oil and it's not a hidden secret.

Taliban historically are close to Arabs and Qatar and uae are funding present day Talibans. Everyone knows it. You can say Qatar is paying money to Taliban for terror attacks in Pakistan. This is the charm of Arab states. And Iran? Iran gave Taliban drones which they used against Pakistan and Iran has very close relations with Talibans. So nobody is innocent here.

Stop this Arab Iran rivalry. Fight your own wars.

You're a House Negro for the Arabs. You seem to feel more pain for the Arab world than the Arab street dog feels for his master.

Give it a rest, the Arab wouldn't shed the same tear for you or your countryman.

I pity your stupidity. Get this through your head. They are not miskeen bystanders they are PARTICIPANTS. They are actively aiding Operation Epic Fury and the Israeli Air Campaign. By all rules of the game they are legitimate targets.

They are providing bases, housing, airspace and even in the case of Bahrain their shoreline from where missiles can be launched.

Donald Trump has literally said multiple times now that the Arabs have been better allies than NATO.

Bro , you are confusing and contradicting yourself every step of the way....if we hold your analysis as a yardstick then Arabs and Pakistanis have every right to screw Iran .

This is it, Iran have won this, Trump wants a deal, he keeps going on about it, by now humiliating him what purpose does it serve. Iranians are starting to show arrogance now, and that saddens me
all Iran has to do is outline a real estate & crypto development deal to Kushner & Jr Trump cabal and next thing you know, POTUS will be exporting free F35s and Patriots to his favorit ayatollah in Teheran

President Trump is giving Iran's warring factions a short window to unify behind a coherent counter-offer — or the ceasefire he extended Tuesday ends, three U.S. officials tell Axios.
  • "Trump is willing to give another three to five days of ceasefire to allow the Iranians to get their shit together," one U.S. source briefed on the matter said. "It is not going to be open-ended."
Why it matters: Trump's negotiators believe a deal to end the war and address what's left of Iran's nuclear program is still achievable. But they also worry they may not have anyone in Tehran empowered to say yes.
  • Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei is barely communicating. The IRGC generals now in control of the country and Iran's civilian negotiators are openly at odds over strategy.
  • "We saw that there is an absolute fracture inside Iran between the negotiators and the military — with neither side having access to the supreme leader, who is not responsive," a U.S. official said.
Behind the scenes: U.S. officials first began to see the divisions after the first round of Islamabad talks, when it became clear IRGC commander Gen. Ahmad Vahidi and his deputies had rejected much of what Iran's own negotiators had discussed.

  • The split broke into the open last Friday. When Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi announced the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz, the IRGC refused to implement it — and began publicly attacking him.
  • In the days that followed, Iran gave no substantive response to the latest U.S. proposal and refused to commit to a second round of talks in Pakistan.
The intrigue: The fracture is partly a consequence of Israel's March assassination of Ali Larijani, the previous secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council.
  • Larijani had the authority and political weight to hold Iran's decision-making together.
  • His replacement, Mohammad Bagher Zolghadr — whose job is to coordinate between the IRGC, civilian leadership and the supreme leader — is not effective, a U.S. official said.
