Pakistan-India Conflict 2025: News Updates and Discussion

Nevertheless achieves the SEAD purpose of making a system unavailable for the duration of the conflict.

And that's how the IAF became a rocket force. Lost all sort of detterence against PAF - couldn't scramble their aircrafts to counter PAF strike formations - didn't have S400 to act as detterence either - the result was PAF took control of the air and the so called 3rd largest airforce in the world was reduced to launching brahmos from ground or carrying out a couple sneak attacks from extreme ranges - fukin embarrassing for an airforce which had spent so much taxpayers money into inducting some of the best systems in the world.

Fine and fair assessment . PAF performance was outstanding …. Our air defences did OK . Lots of Gaps and helpless against hypersonic …. Our bases are too close to the border and the reaction time was very limited just like the attack on Nur Khan .

We are very lucky and blessed indeed that no assets were lost and few Shaheeds .

But the next war Indians will come with much larger numbers to saturate our defences and yea we are concentrating on new airframes to push them even further but our lack of strategic depth is a cause of worry .

I've always said our airbases have become not fit for purpose, they're embedded in large population centres, which places then at risk from terrorist attacks, as well as bird strikes given the amount of garbage and pollution in the cities. They should be away in remote areas, preferably nestled amidst mountains where they can be shielded to some extent with sensors and defensive systems placed on the mountains against incoming threats. A brahmos attack becomes infinitely more difficult if it has to navigate high peaks, changes in altitude due to terrain and multi layered defenses and sensors.

The night and time refreshes the trauma of numerous indian servicemen who were involved in Sindoor.

The pilots in the air who had to eject - the formation leaders and formation fellows who lost their formation members.

The AD controllers in C2s who lost their peers in the air.

The ground crew who had prepared the aircrafts for strike but didn't receive the aircrafts back for post flight inspections.

The IAF leadership in C2s who just didn't know what happened and decided to ground the entire IAF in western / south western command AoR.

The rescue crew who had to take off in hurry and wildly search for downed pilots before any locals reached and made embarassing videos.

Everyone's got shocks, trauma and memories of their own - for life. What a night it was.

Viper boys,, flying low over ... baiting InAF, daring them to show up . And when that one Fulcrum guy did try his luck after listening to his C2, dooor khara larka simply smoked that poor bastard just for fun.

When some one decided to launch at the very edge of its envelope, resulting in that Flanker just disintegrating in to pieces. What i hear was it just geot annihilated. That naraye Takbeer and launch and the bright Xmas tree high up in the air.

I remember as a kid playing next to the boundary wall of Shah Faisal base and the security during those good old
Days was a joke .

Liyari Nadi formed one side of the base parameter and there was no wall there because the flood washed it away every year and they just gave up ….. only some towers etc and barbed wire…..

This was 37 years ago when I was in Pakistan last time but even back then houses were built next to the boundary wall and anyone from busy Shahra e Faisal road could lob a grenade on A5s and F6s parked right next to the wall …..

Good old days we could even step inside to retrieve our cricket ball….. I can only imagine the congestion and population around now …

With difficult terrain comes difficult logistics and farther distances from the border thus slower reaction/intercept times and other problems.
Look at adampur for eg heavily defended airbase quite close to LOC/IB, has S400 which kinda peeks into our airspace and difficult to target.
Building and operating a functional airbase in the middle of nowhere in between mountains is a difficult task and brahmos is known to be able to do a near vertical dive so not much protection against that..

The Mirage dude was killed during his climb.

A year on. The runways are repaired, the hangars are repaired. The SAAB that was allegedly hit is also allegedly repaired. PAF got off with minimal damage. Lessons learned from AD and A2G gap, new procurements are happening despite limited budget. Good to see.

Those Indian jets are still in multiple pieces though....no hope for Indians learning how to do air combat either.

Defense Minister Khawaja Asif has threatened India with the horrific consequences of igniting a spark in a fit of war mania.

He said that whatever happened to you in May 2025 included our restraint and forbearance, but this time it will not be so; we will decide how far to take the war.
