How do you know the Japs will not embark on their second try of Asia conquest as in WW II ? The ugly Japanese PM Takaichi has said: "A country that does not take on challenges of status quo has no future". The Japs will never be content to stay on their islands, the object of their expansion will always be Asian continent.

We have already produced the AESA radar for shipborned, ground based, and cruise missiles, TRM, IRST, E/O sensors, thermal lenses. I don't care if you believe because what you believe or not believe doesn't change anything about what we have done and our defense industries are keep surging forward at the breakneck pace.

Building a national defense industries is a must have, there is nothing unusual about it whether in peace or war time. The defense industries will preserve forex reserves, facilitate domestic economy and jobs, provide weapons to the military without having to depend on foreign suppliers.

Yes, manufacturing capability is a must, be making shoes or producing weapons. I just noticed usually Vietnam only maintains a standing army with a minimum deterrent.
It’s just the pace of military buildup is unprecedented.
