Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Terrorism Watch

Probably one of those "NATO trained special forces" who fled on a boat and pretended he was "hunted" by talibs, a story which no longer gained traction with the UK/USA visa offices, hence he came home and was redeployed by the same talibs. They all lie and lie and lie again just to make a buck. And this is where they end up.

And then these khawarij have the nerve to name their battalion "Yarmouk"!
Even the ANA SF weren't really that special. It was just that in that country and in that army, they stood better than the regulars and that got them all the publicity through the US media which was dying to get a win in the face of dismal failures in Afghanistan.

The ANA SF training evolution was limited to 3+3 months which isn't too shabby at all however they grew to 20-30,000 personnel in a short amount of time. Compared to that, it has taken Pakistan decades to grow the SSG to a divisional command (9000-12000 troops when at full strength) because the quality could not be compromised. Second, when SSG gets nafri, it has already been trained and integrated by the regimental training centers and the parent regiments with a strong training culture, ethos etc, ANA had none of this infrastructure. So I will also question the quality of the ANA SF for various reasons. I am sure they had some absolutely great troops but as a whole, not a lot of credence.

Also keep in mind that most of the Afghan SF were Tajiks/Uzbeks etc. and only a limited number were Pakhtun. Taliban essentially disenfranchised all Tajiks/Uzbeks so I am not even sure if this individual eliminated was from the US trained system. Taliban probably trust nobody from the old regime and certainly not the non-Pakhtuns.

This Yarmouk thing is Taliban's own unit and its cadres are mostly from Taliban ranks who did not come from the American training stream.

Ofcourse not. But should there be consequences for this? Absolutely.

You are ranked number 1. These are exceptional circumstances. Your capital has already been bombed twice within a year.
No matter what the circumstances, we should not resort to animalistic instincts for the sake of revenge.

Pin-point, surgical attacks with effect should be carried out (and they are being carried out).

This problem will not stop just through kinetic actions. It will require diplomacy, incentives and the stick all together. Murdering civilians in large numbers will only push the finish line further out.

The way I see it Afghan taliban would have made in to Kabul anyway without Pakistan support. USA or Soviets they would have left eventually.

The only thing double game archived by supporting Afghan taliban is Pakistan semi pariah status in 2010’s which allowed India to delude themselves in to being wishwaguru. It needed clarity of though and new leadership in Asim Munir to put Pakistan back in track to being middle power. Pakistan needed to burst India’s buble to be accepted back as middle power with real teeth.
The Talibs wouldn't have survived. The Americans pushed them back to the hinterland and carpet bombed their hideouts. Tora Bora comes to mind.

The only reason Sirajuddin Haqqani and his entourage survived was because the Darpakhel tribe in Waziristan opened their doors to him. He was safe in Pakistan - on the other side of the Durand Line, the Americans would have hunted him down like they did the Ba'ath in Iraq.

That clown Yaqoob Mujahid survived because he was safe in Karachi. The whole Jamia Haqqania ecosystem (initially the Mujahidden) was the brainchild of Colonel Imam, Zia, Hamid Gul, M. Fazlur Rehman, and countless more....Pakistan established this network to counter the Soviets and then sheltered it from erasure when the Americans came knocking. This is why the Americans accused us of playing the double game. While on the one hand we gave them Shamsi, and supported the NATO supply lines, on the other hand we hosted OBL and sheltered the Taliban we deemed "good". These good Taliban were the ones America deemed "bad". Sure we paint OBL as an intelligence failure, but there are people within the ISI that were so deeply embedded in the Mujahideen/Taliban ecosystem that you would be hard pressed to find a distinction.

Well before the Afghan invasion, American launched Operation Infinite Reach in the 90s where Tomahawks struck locations in Afghanistan including Khost. Sure they killed a bunch of Talibs, but 4 - 10 ISI officers were also killed in the incident. That's how entrenched the Pakistanis were. All that is history now - Pakistan is trying to make new friends. It's disappointing that the Afghan Pashtuns give such little value to strategic partnerships and the bonds of kinship. Blood is clearly not thicker than water in their case.

To my new friends, the Tajiks, Turkmen, Uzbek and Hazara - من افغان نیستم

May we see a prosperous and stable Afghanistan emerge in our lifetimes.

Security forces have successfully neutralized five terrorists linked to the Indian-sponsored militant group Fitna-Al-Khwarij in two separate operations carried out on 7-8 May 2026 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the military’s media wing said on Friday.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the first operation took place in Tank district, where an intelligence-based operation led by security forces resulted in a fierce gunfight.

Four terrorists were killed after an intense exchange of fire, as the forces effectively engaged their location.

The second operation was carried out in Dera Ismail Khan district, where another terrorist was neutralized in a similar fire exchange.

During both operations, weapons and ammunition were recovered from the slain terrorists, who were actively involved in multiple terrorist activities within the region.

🚨Esteemed scholars of Pakistan who have been victims of the barbarism of the Fitna al-Khawarij in the past few years!

This image is not merely an image, but a speaking proof of the barbarism of Fitna al-Khawarij and their anti-Islamic mindset.

These are those esteemed scholars who, in the past few years, were targeted solely because they taught children religion and morals, spread the message of peace and brotherhood, and spoke of protecting society from extremism and terrorism.

Among these martyrs are Sheikh al-Hadith Maulana Sheikh Idris, martyred in Charsadda on May 5, 2026; Pir Ibrahim, martyred on July 21, 2025; Maulana Khanzeb, targeted in Bajaur on July 10, 2025; Maulana Abdullah Nadeem, injured in the Azam Warsak Mosque attack on March 14, 2025; Hamid al-Haqq Haqqani, martyred in the Darul Uloom Haqqania Akora Khattak attack on February 28, 2025; and Maulana Sami ul-Haq, martyred on November 2, 2018.

All these incidents reflect the reality that Fitna al-Khawarij have always been enemies of knowledge, peace, religion, and humanity.

What kind of jihad and what kind of Islam is this of the Khawarij, that they kill scholars who convey the message of Islam, peace, and security?

BANNU: At least 15 police personnel were martyred on Saturday night after a suicide attack on the Fateh Khel police post in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Bannu district.

The terrorists launched their attack on the post by ramming a vehicle laden with explosives.

According to Bannu Regional Police Officer Sajjad Khan, a total of 18 police personnel were present at the post at the time of the attack, of whom 15 were martyred and three sustained injuries.

Police said that following the explosion, terrorists opened heavy fire and attacked the post from multiple directions. Multiple blasts were heard in the area, causing fear and panic among local residents.

“During the assault, the militants used quadcopters along with heavy weaponry,” a senior administrative official in Bannu told AFP on condition of anonymity.

Sources said that communication with the Fateh Khel police post was lost briefly after the attack.

The powerful blast completely destroyed the post. An armoured vehicle stationed at the post was also destroyed in the attack.

Nearby buildings also suffered severe damage from the blast’s intensity. Following the attack, an emergency was declared in local hospitals.
