I agree that it wasnt' the international pressure which finally make America to not Veto. However, I don't believe in this 'cake to shut them up'. Those allied against Israel are not children and they have faced God knows what kind of threats and inducements by Washington over the last 5.5 months and they can't be fooled. I tend to think that Netanyahu, in his arrogance, tried to repeat the insult he inflicted on Obama in 2015 by bypassing the US President to address the American Congress. He was planning to do the same against Biden and Biden decided to send a message to Netanyahu.
If this Resolution can't be enforced then still it carries a lot of weight and humiliates Israel and Netanyahu even more globally.

Your whole post was very good. And the quoted part is the most interesting one: Now everyone knows that Israel is a paper tiger which can't survive without full American support. I believe Israel, unless it totally defeats the Gazans, is going to face a dire future in a very short time.
