Good to see with the formation of Rocket force, we are seeing so many FATAH series tests. Serious change in doctrine for Army. On Kashmir mountains it will be artillery and missiles will be rain down on India from left to right and possibly all the way to South if requires. Also like someone said, PAF will be freed up from air to ground role more.

No drop down intake in this one @Oscar you have worked on the program right? this seems longer and has a intake in lined with the body... Can it be an upgraded version Cuz the missile is a lil slimmer?

I have never worked on this program.

I have however - seen - the entire code that was run for the guidance algorithm for the first one which was run on a floating pt dsp.

It was C for that specific aspect - and yes C was still preferred the more than 15 years ago when I was in that role.

Each language has its issues - but C by far was best suited for the needs of many systems and is why it’s used in the F-35 and JF-17.

And I believe C/C++ is still preferred today... they taught us C++ in the first semester only and then drilled us in Python for the rest of our AI degree which I believe has minimum role in coding these in-flight guidance systems algorithms

No surprise F 35 had recurring software problems...Jf 17 has much simpler architecture...I don't know much about this field so forgive me for my ignorance

JF17 is C++, not C according to all commentary I have seen.

There is very little reason to use C these days and this has been the case for some time when you have C++ available.

Slow flying non-Stealthy standard cruise missiles might not have the same usefulness it had 20-15 years ago.

Modern AD with AESA sensors are too good for these things. Unless you have something as stealthy as JASSM.
