Air India to cut international flights till July amid fuel surge, airspace curbs

Since whole world is going through oil crisis because of gulf war and blockade, Pakistan on humanitarian basis should open it's air space....

India too should open it's airspace for Pakistan airlines who wants to travel to south east Asian countries....
When India uses water resources as a weapon, why is there no mention of humanitarianism?

Go to sleep, in your dreams you will have everything you want.

Yes but that's a small issue at present as there is little air traffic from Pakistan to these destinations. Sri Lanka can also be used to bypass India.
Moreover, Iran allows Pakistani tankers to pass through.

Meanwhile, tankers from some countries have been attacked.

It will be a huge amount when these 500 Boeing and Airbus jetliners keep using the expensive route.

For the international, long-haul component of these orders (the wide-body Boeing 777X, 787 Dreamliners, and Airbus A350s), avoiding Pakistan is incredibly expensive.

Industry analysts note: The "Long Way Round": Westbound flights from Delhi or Mumbai to Europe and

The real hit is increase in fuel costs. There is nothing Pakistan can do about it.

Mumbai to Europe can avoid Pakistani airspace. Delhi to Europe might not. The real problem is Iranian/Saudi airspace is probably off limits to everyone. There is no impact if someone is flying Delhi to San Francisco over the Pacific.

with the able mediation diplomacy of Munir & Sheriff won't we see an end to the war? Hormuz will open up, oil will be plenty; Trump, Sheriff, Netanyahu & Khameni will share NoBLe prize (that's how they stamp it in Puxi) and the world can once again get back to worrying about Ukraine-Russia, boat people etc.

Firstly Pakistan is geographically very small country and niether it's something like longer country like Chile 🇨🇱 that can block entire western flank of India.... we only waste fuel and time in case of flight from Delhi to Europe.... rest Mumbai, Chennai, bangalore doesn't even need Pakistan....

So stop behaving as if this air space closure is something magical weapon in the hands of Pakistan.... to fly to east asia, Australia, America we don't at all need your airspace even from Delhi....

It's just media and opportunists keeps highlighting such things and cry over it...

if you don't want to open airspace even on humanitarian basis keep it closed.... India can manage with that...

You will be paying huge amounts and making enormous losses like you already are. On top of that, your passengers will be losing a lot of time and money. Pakistan isn't opening any airspace routes for India. Just like Pakistan isn't opening any border crossings for Afghanistan. Two of our enemies are making losses and that is great.

So, why are you begging Pakistan to re-open the airspace for India on a humanitarian basis? 🤔

Loss of the "Non-Stop" Advantage

The real financial danger to the new wide-body fleet isn't just the extra fuel; it’s the erosion of their primary selling point.

Yet ANOTHER article written by a friendly neighbourhood Indian for the ever-neutral BBC, mentioning the problem (cancelled Gatwick-Goa direct route) but AVOIDING stating Pakistani airspace closure as the cause. The cope is hilarious.

"The axing of a direct London Gatwick-Goa Air India service has also had an impact.

Nicola, Alison and Dwayne have been visiting Goa every year for the last seven years

At a shack off Benaulim Beach north of Palolem, Nicola, a hairdresser who's come for three weeks with her friends Alison and Dwayne, told the BBC she had to do an unplanned layover in Mumbai because of the axed service, which was not convenient."

Then, of course, there is the usual contribution from 10,000 year old pangangetic civilisational behaviour:

"She said her brother chose to go to Sri Lanka instead this year.

"It's definitely more up and coming. He thought it was more affordable and also far cleaner than Goa," she said.

Dias says the government has ramped up its effort to keep the beaches litter-free, but admits that many roads leading towards them have been defaced by garbage - "not a good view", he admits, "especially for foreign tourists who are very particular about cleanliness".

Prohibitively high taxi fares as a result of the aggressive resistance of local unions to app-based services is also another "big problem", he says.

"It's like living in the Stone Age, you cannot get a taxi on your app in Goa because the local unions will confront them." "

They are all coping. The Emiratis are coping. The Israelis are coping. The American senators are coping. The Indians are coping.

The Indians are settling abroad in the millions and here they come to reveal their love for motherland India. We know their reality.

Lets try the lets open airspace speech. Then see the pakistan sentiment. - change the focus on India can manage without that?
Indians are so transparent.

Because under Current oil crisis it's our duty to help each other... but if you don't want then it's okay... except Delhi region we don't really need Pakistan anyways to just to travel Europe....

I dians are so transparent.
Except Delhi and surrounding and to only travel towards Europe India doesn't actually need Pakistan airspace...

Legal immigration is the problem everywhere. Keep repeating it because the clowns at GB News pretend it's the awful refugees and they would gladly have our continent flooded with deliveroo drivers.

Ffs
India is haemorrhaging due to the airspace embargo. We both know it.
Its nothing but a new topic for a discussion for media.... where these expenses and time goes when london bound plane from Hyderabad first goes to to Delhi (3 hrs journey) and then start from their? Or Delhi london plane comes to Mumbai (2 hrs journey) and then continue it's journey??

If Delhi Mumbai flight duration is 2 hrs then from Delhi then to bypass small Pakistan from Gujarat it shouldn't take more than an hour from Delhi and continue it's journey towards Europe....

It's just a habit of media to highlight everything as a loss so they have something new to show and off course baniya nature of India to cry on every single penny.... but this problem is nothing that big....
