F16s upgrades was cleared by US congress in Dec 2025..its been 5 months now...any news on it ? has the upgrades taken place or process not started yet?

Aim-120D might be a tall order right now, but - come on ...

... we can't get our hands on APG66/83 OR that our great Air Chief hasn't even bothered.

Side note: I wouldn't be surprised if its the latter.
All for the good that he is not bothered to ask. Pursuing upgrades on F-16 is a token step limited in the useful life of the airframe, the useful life of the technology and the future relationship that it is wise not to take at the expense of even a slightest complications in future tech acquisition from China.

Having an airbase or two dedicated to US assets and monitoring personel is neither sustainable nor suitable for PAF's future agile and networked ops vision where all nodes need to work seemlessly.

Interesting video on the background of one of PAF premier fighters.

A respected member of pakdef.info forum Haris Khan was. Gem of a person.
He wasn't as widely liked as you remember. He banned anyone who didn't agree with his views. A shame really because pakdef was a really good forum, knowledgeable members, some really good discourse, and no indians.

Haris Khan had good knowledge and shared lots of information. But he was very opinionated and didn't indulge much in open-mindedness or tolerate differences of opinion.

Pakdef.info was a treasure trove of authentic information for a while. Usman Shabbir, P. Shamim, Blain, etc., were great sources of information in the 2000s.

The lack of tolerance for opposing mindsets, although a bit stifling at times, reduced pestering Indian participation.

yes, he was intolerant may be stubborn a bit.

sometimes, people with knowledge or intellect do not fit in society. they have their own world and do not go smooth with the silliness or do not feel comfortable with all that playful and goofy attitude.

i can see here on this forum. a rare number of people are sane. otherwise, most do not know the subject. they don't even know what they are saying, but talk like a saint.

so if people like him can be remembered with those words, what do we say about these people here with zero knowledge, intellect or calibre. they are just a headache who bring down the elevation and standard of this forum to a level where several international members have already left. they brag about things, chest thumping, but don't have the patience to listen to the Indians doing the same thing?

your achievements are either pride or arrogance, it is up to you how you make of it.

sorry, i took the subject in a different direction; it was for a reference.

Some knowledge but lots of info as the admin of Pakdef were connected in the right place.
This made Pakdef a source of good and credible info, but at the same time, the reason for its downfall, as these individuals unfortunately were "up themselves".

Can we openly say now why that forum collapsed??
