So did you visit a person, or did you visit a shrine? I'm just curious. I've read that in Sindh some sufi shrines are visited by both Muslims and Hindus but you're the first example i've ever met of a Hindu who's visited a pir.

Visited a shrine. And the practice of Hindus visiting Sufi shrines is well and alive... Hazrat Nizamuddin in Delhi for eg. I visited Jama Masjid a while back - took 30 others with me (from US) - though that was the first time for me visiting a mosque

People may disagree, but these two are not individual acts of worship nor or they intended to be such. Namaz is symbolic submission (preferably combined which we call Jamat) to the will of your CREATOR and a promise that as I submitted in Namaz, I will submit to HIS will in my actions in society.

Roza is to discipline one's self and a reminder that I will not back down in front of any hardship, will remain steadfast and disciplined and contribute to the welfare of the society, will refrain from and will fight injustice.

Islam does not promote individual attainment or anything, it stresses on unity and society building.

Sure - I don't know enough about Islam. Maybe unintended consequences but your actions have multiple effects - you can be doing something for unity/society but attain individual peace from it as well...

I don't know much about Sufism except it's very esoteric and has been heavily slandered by the Wahhabi/Salafis. You can see proof of that in the few posts on this thread.

I mean what exactly is "grave worship ?" Lol. Pakistanis have such a rich history and understanding of Islam and yet some of them are now taking religious lessons from ignorant desert tribesmen who lucked upon

Successful indeed is the one who purifies their soul,

and doomed is the one who corrupts it!

Bro before we talk on this?

If I ask you a simple Aqeedah question

Where is your Lord will you be able to answer me?

I worship Allah (swt). I am not your "brother" and not answerable to you.

I'm not sure the forum rules allow us to discuss religion specifically. Your question is about aqeedah. IDK how long this topic will stay open for if we make it into a discussion about religion.

You know Aqeedah is Important, Mr Sufi.

Not knowing is like walking on a coal.
Where did you get the idea I am a Sufi ? I had posted on this thread I don't know much about it except it's esoteric and focused on the person itself.

I do know about the Wahhabi/Salafi poison and how much they have negatively affected Pakistani society.

Salafi have nothing wrong, all they preach is don’t worship graves, don’t ask the deads etc… ask Allah directly for help.

The issue is since vast majority is laymen’s they follow what barelvis preach to them in public, and they are the one who gave Salafis the nickname Wahabbi, although if we go into jurisprudence (Fiqh) of Ahlul Hadith in Sub Continent I don’t like it.

I don't have a favourite. Anyone i can learn from I will listen too.

Locally in the UK there are 3 young British Imams I have a lot of time for.

Shaykh Muhammad Aslam
Shaykh Asrar Rashid
Ustadh Burhan Khandia

They are local to me, similar age, speak English and I have attended their classes or events. Shaykh Asrar especially is very vocal on societal matters.

Ustadh Burhans father Qari Ismail was a true Wali of Allah and served our community selflessly. Thousands came to his janaza, people you'd never seen inside a masjid, because he had taught them Quran and had done so in a manner where he showed them love and kindness. He spent time in Liecester too - and was the teacher of many famous UK based imams who attended his janaza and gave heart felt speeches about what he meant to them. He was an Indian Muslim and spoke urdu to a community that was mainly Mirpuris and Potwaris.
