Siper A is going to be similar to Pac 3 mse and Siper 4 is going to be similar to Thaad endo atmospheric interception not exoatmospheric interception like sm3.

THAAD is also exoatmosperic interceptor
THAAD is designed for both endoatmospheric and exoatmospheric interceptor which can engage targets up to 150 km altitude .... (the edge of space-Karman line is 100 km)
DELTAV hypersonic test Platform reached an altidude of 210 km , that means Turkiye reaching a point where we can use the capabilities we have developed in space technologies for exo-atmospheric air defense systems lke THAAD

SİPER-A, with its AESA-based RF seeker head, precise target tracking capability, and rapid reaction capability, will be one of the lower-layer ballistic missile defense elements of the Steel Dome.
SİPER-4 is being developed as a strategic system to meet Turkiye's upper-layer anti-ballistic missile interception needs.
SİPER-2 systems will enter the Air Force Command's inventory between 2027-2032 to meet additional fleet, battery, and missile needs.

Steel Dome is on duty at EFES 2026
In the EFES 2026 Exercise, the SIPER, HİSAR-A, HİSAR-O, KORKUT, TOLGA, and İHTAR systems are operating together within the same scenario as elements of the Steel Dome.
Thus, a range of different threats—from fighter aircraft to cruise missiles, FPV drones to mini-UAVs—are being countered within the layered air defence architecture.

ASTER Block1 NT Missile has Ballistic Missile interception capability up to 1.500 km
We need only ASTER Block1 NT Missile to integrate it to STEEL DOME with ALP-300G , ALP-500G , ALP-600G Radars
First HISAR-A gets cooked. Radar spinning and missiles cook off, operators make a run for it, clearly a functional system.
Just shows how lethal these drones are, i remember someone here laughing at chinese ad getting knocked by turkish loitering munitions...look like the chinese are out for blood!
this is copium, hisar a is very much a shorads solution.
Hisar A IS the supplemental element. Unless you have something to the contrary, Hisar A seems to be an all in one solution that can be operated standalone, hence the single chassis, radar, missile and eo/ir. Obviously a system designed to be mobile and provide troops/armored columns topcover...
Not sure, but i don't think FPV drones/electrically propelled UAVs radiate anything good enough for IR interceptor like HISAR A to lock onto. This is a system that was envisioned and planned in mid 2000s for mobile protection. Clearly not adequate enough to meet assymetric threats of UAVs today.
Korkut also operate the same radar + EO sight.
Given the crews were sitting inside until it was struck, i am wondering if the radar also failed to detect the ISR element that came first and was hovering overhead to later cue the strike element. That would be a real failure.
