US Perspective on the Iran - Israel / US War

By now it should be clear: America’s president is not eager to resume his hot war with Iran. For six weeks he has seized on any excuse to delay military strikes. Reluctance is not refusal, however https://econ.st/4uqaH0I

US media reports suggest tensions may be emerging between US President Donald Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu over the next phase of the Iran war. While Trump reportedly still sees room for diplomacy, Netanyahu is said to favour greater military pressure. Analysts say the differences could shape what comes next.

Not surprised given the lion's share of the load will be on the back of US military personnel.

Good discussion and I really liked the lady anchor asking short but very interesting questions. I differ with Kagan that Israeli threat perception changed due to the Oct. 7, 2023 attack from the Gazans: Israelis has been trying to attack Iran for decades but couldn't as all American Presidents before Trump II refused Netanyahu's request to attack Iran.

Bottom line going forward, as Kagan says here: Unless Iran is 'wiped' off, they retain the control over Hormuz. To which I'd add: If due to any agreement, Iran yields the Strait, which they probably will, it will take them no time to reassert the control in future.

Saudi does not need to ask for "anything". All it needs to do is close its airspace to the US military and shutdown all the US military bases for the duration of hajj.

ADM Cooper confirms:

- Iran no longer has the ability to fund and resupply its proxies in the region
- are years away from reconstituting its drone and missile forces
- a generation away from rebuilding their navy
Bullshit comment no?
