Taliban Wants To Build Afghanistan’s Air Defenses With Russia’s Help

Every Pakistani must engrave this fact into their mind that the Afghans are aguably even bigger enemies of yours than Hindus. This fact was merely kept hidden from you by religious extremists trying to distort reality at the cost of your security and dignity.

Let these Afghans resort to another terrorist attack inside Pakistan. I am waiting for that one terrorist attack.
Not just the Afghans, but their local allies who support them in the name of "we wuz one". We need a clear mind on this problem if we want a peaceful and permanently stable Pakistan one day.

There will be a war to end all wars between Pakistan and Afghanistan.

Its only a question of when.

The obileration of Afghanistan will be so severe they will be crying at the UN for decades.

You want to be an enemy of Russia? No problem, China will not interfere.
However, when Russia begins to retaliate against you, I hope you can hold on!

Nobody wants to make more enemies.

However, just want to say a bit on the comment "hope you can hold on!".

During 1980s, it was USSR (Soviet Union, a Super power) and Pakistan was not even a nuclear power. Yet we were openly supporting / training / arming Mujahideen who were killing Soviets. (Though with CIA support)

PAF shot down some 8 to 10 Migs during that period too. One of the downed soviet pilot later on become the deputy PM of Russia. So yeah, if push comes to shove Pakistan can hold on.

BTW, its all hypothetical. Neither Russia is that stupid nor us to get into direct conflict. If such thing ever happened, then question should be asked to Russia as well, can they hold on? there performance in Ukraine shows otherwise. So that would be two active war fronts for Russia. Europe / US will love such opportunity to degrade Russian threat. Also in such hypothetical scenario, I see lot of US weapons coming to Pak as well as happened in past.

As I suggested before, Pakistan must build a buffer zone in Afghanistan. It should be 50 KM to 100 KM depending on the border.

Not possible at all. You see Hezbullah doing FPVs against Buffer zone of Israelis? Their buffer zone is much tinier. Expect such happening against Pakistan military too for any incursion. and now some facts: Lebanon - Israel border is just 120 km (blue line). Ours with Afghanistan is 2700 KMs. On top, Israel do not have to worry about any other existential threat from any other side. We have god damn india at our east sharing another massive border. Why on earth we would want us to be trapped into a death trap by sending our military at opposite side?

How many times I have to repeat, that this buffer-zone BS is impossible. Unless you become best buddies with india and somehow you have guarantee they will not attack and then you spend 100 billion dollars to wage a war against afghanistan to invade into 50-100 kms and guard it like hell to have a "buffer zone". The thing is Taliban are building or procuring one way drones. Its super obvious that Taliban will be getting their hands on FPV drones as well. Whole of afghanistan, whether taliban or anti-talib groups will become one if their land is occupied.

Taliban / afghanistan is something you can deal only with intelligence agencies. You need to divert their attention towards any other border, create a rift between their ranks OR arm / support anti-talib group so they get busy their. Best outcome would be to eventually get your own (or ones at your payroll) in their higher ranks and eliminate rest to make his way at the top. or some other intelligence shit. You need ground presence, infiltration, covert ops. In today's age of one-way drones, FPVs (poor man's airforce) its really difficult to do massive military operations without massive cost and blow back.

China does not interfere in the internal affairs of other countries, as long as you ensure the safety of Chinese citizens and assets, and prevent a surge of refugees into China.

China does.

Cut the bullshit, China ABSOLUTELY does.

China has consistently pressured Pakistan to tread lightly in afghanistan, to protect its interests.

You need to cut the rubbish, what support has China offered to Pakistan other than arms SALES, key word, SALES , not favours.

China literally has MULTIPLE times blocked Pakistans strategic interests to keep Pakistan dependant on it.

What can Russia even do? Its arse is getting handed to it in Ukraine, it is a shadow of its former self with no political, economic or military clout.

It has propped up the adversaries of Pakistan for decades, its now time to send them packing.

Send more toys to Ukraine!

Hasn't Pakistan benefited from China's veto at the UN?

I love how Pakistanis and tankies try to pretend China isn't as imperialistic as the west or the US.

It wants as much control and dependence of others on it as does the US.

They are a nationalistic and greedy people but try and redirect everyones attention to a racialised dichotomy where the evil guy can only be white.

Pakistan already showed in the recent border clashes that it can take Afghan territory even if only for a short time. So it’s not like Pakistan is powerless. It’s not like the border is some sacred line nobody can cross. When Pakistan pushed back, it captured small Afghan positions and held them briefly. So yes, Pakistan can do it. But doing it on a large scale is a whole different story.

And that’s the point.

Pakistan can build buffer zone inside Afghanistan on soma areas, but whole border may not be possible as long as the Taliban stay fully in control. A strong, centralized Taliban with support from Indian and Israe, means limitted space for Pakistan to shape anything on that side.

Afghanistan has never been one united block anyway. It’s always been a mix of different regions and different peoples, Tajiks, Uzbeks, Hazaras, Pashtuns. Everyone has their own power centers. Their own leaders. Their own loyalties.

Even the Americans once said Afghanistan basically acts like three separate regions. North. South. West. And honestly, that’s how it looks on the ground.

If these regions ever start asking for more autonomy...even a little... Pakistan suddenly has options. Real options. You can talk to the north. You can talk to the west. You can talk to the central highlands. You don’t have to deal with only the Taliban in Kabul.

And yes, that includes the old Northern Alliance networks and other non‑Taliban groups. They still exist in political form. They still have influence. They still don’t like Taliban rule. They are natural counterweights.

When Pakistan engages these regions politically or economically....not militarily, the Taliban’s grip weakens. Slowly. Quietly. Naturally. And when their grip weakens, natural buffer spaces start to appear. Not because Pakistan invaded anything. But because Afghanistan becomes more decentralized.

But here’s the twist people forget, China won’t like this. China wants a stable, centralized Afghanistan under Taliban control. China wants one phone number to call, not five. China wants no northern warlords, no regional autonomy, no fragmentation. Because fragmentation threatens their Belt & Road plans and their Xinjiang security concerns.

So yeah, China may go against Pakistan’s interests here. They may quietly support the Taliban’s central authority. They may push back against any Afghan decentralization. They may not want Pakistan talking to northern or western groups.

So Pakistan has to be smart, Quiet, Subtle and Patient.

Because the only path where a buffer zone becomes possible is the path where Afghanistan becomes weaker, more divided, more decentralized and where Pakistan builds ties with northern, western, and central groups who don’t want Taliban domination.

Not war, Not invasion. Just political engagement with the parts of Afghanistan that already feel different.

Exactly been saying that too. Arm Ukraine, give them artillery and everything related to it. Artillery breaks bones and wins wars.

Give Ukraine everything they need. Russia might end up resorting to nuking Kiev but it will eventually cause the Germans to go nuclear too and open Russia itself to dirty bombs, which the Ukrainians can acquire from many sources especially Europe.

The US was doing that albeit with certain restrictions until Zelenskyy pissed off Daddy. Yet, the Ukes continue to slow the advance and in some locations, pushing them back. But, we're starting to discuss the big thread, aren't we?

No shit Sherlock, tell us something we don't already know. That's the way the world works, big fish feed of small fish. Pakistan could stand on its own, but it wouldn't last long. China doesn't love Pakistan for being Pakistan, it just has common interests, mostly india and access to the Gulf. If you don't like the Chinese so much, don't bother with the JF17, Al Khalid, SAMs, missiles, ships, subs, heck even probably our nukes. If you don't want to rely on mutual alliances, become as strong as China, otherwise face reality I guess.

They need to remove that clown zelensky and let someone authentically Ukrainian take over.

This is the chance to bleed Russia and cripple it once and for all, if missed this opportunity may not come again. The Russians will eventually expel and push the Ukrainian population into Poland and other countries. The Europeans are too busy funding and enabling a genocide so I guess they deserve what Russia will do to them eventually because of this.

But Pakistan should have supported Ukraine lik Russia supports India. Both because Pakistan and Ukraine had good relations and also because it was time to make Russia feel some pain regarding their support for Hindustan.
