US Perspective on the Iran - Israel / US War

A rare bipartisan rebuke unfolded in Washington as the Republican-led House voted to curb President Donald Trump’s authority to continue the war against Iran, signaling growing unease over the escalating conflict.

In a 215-208 vote, four Republicans broke ranks and joined Democrats in backing the war powers resolution, delivering a significant political setback to the White House.

The move highlights mounting concerns within Trump’s own party, as lawmakers push for greater congressional oversight of military action amid the three-month-long war.

Meaningless. For show purposes only. They know this will be vetoed if it ever arrives at the President's desk and that they have no supermajority to overturn it.

That it can be... but it also gives orange get out the jail free card... an off ramp to walk away blaming congress. If he does take it... he'll walk away with murder and US presence in Mideast.

This along with NDAA, if it does pass, will mean that US footprint will be reduced to zion proper and vacate the rest of Mideast. Which is why it is being pushed as a law instead of EO... meaning the next congress must have the requisite numbers to overturn any future commitment with zion. These are last ditch efforts by retreating zionists seeking to entrench themselves by lawfare.

"Retreating Zionists" ? What are you smoking man ? The Zionists own Congress. This was just a PR move by the House.

The fact that the president can veto this is crazy, and a fundamental flaw in the US political framework and why we should not really refer to the USA as a true democracy.

It's not a flaw at all.

The US is not a true democracy. It is a representative republic with elements of democracy built into the system. The Founders were wise when they established our form of government.

I shudder to think what we'd be like if we were a democracy as people like to push.

Don'tcha love it when others tell us how to better run our government? :D

Even better when it is someone from the UK.

I think we should stop treating the USA as a true democracy, but as a banana republic that is so common in the America's, because that is exactly what it is it seems.

No harm in continuing to point that out to people who get confused by the crazy shit that an American president is allowed to do, and get away with in this era.

What nonsense.

The war actually proved how powerful the mullah regime is. Even a blind man can see it.
