My 'position' on Israel may not please many here. I don't want mass death and destruction on anyone. I wish they correct the course and do so before too long for their own good. And yet it is mindboggling that they don't see they are in the path of a freight train approaching them. Chas Freeman, who I admire the most, often says that Israel is on a self destructive path and he says this with a certainty which he usually avoids.

Israel now has the Turkish troops via Syria on its border. Israel has the Pakistani troops, via Saudi Arabia, on its border. And Israel has the potent Iranian missiles ready to strike Israel within minutes. WTF are the Israelis thinking against these three great powers??!! Still living in the glory of the 1967 war, you idiots?!!

but if he does respond he risks alienating Trump

either way, Iran has put Israel in a tricky situation and is better prepared than Israel for the next steps since these are on Iran's terms for once

Well, I'm sure what I will say will not be very pleasant either, but I don't think Israel is worried about Turkey or Pakistan as both countries are under the influence of the United States.

As for Iran, Israel sees Iran as a nearly failed state that has become too weakened in the last 20 years to put up a serious fight. It is the main reason for their adventurism in the last 3 years. And Iran's weak responses during TP1 to TP3 only further strengthened that view in Tel Aviv.

Moves like this can lead to recalculations in Israel. Once Israel realizes that their adventurist mentality does not apply to Iran and Iran will fight back and exert a heavy price, Israel will be forced to step back and deterrence will be reestablished.

As for why Israel cannot see the incoming doom for their state, it's because they still feel in control. They have the unconditional backing of the US and European countries and they are leading in science and technology, particularly in microprocessors and most recently AI. They are not going to change course as long as they feel they're winning it.

I doubt Trump would abandon Bibi though.
Trump is already in deep shit because of high gas prices and he is even more at the mercy of the Zionist lobby in the US. Trump needs Bibi more than ever for November.

Exactly, Either Natanyahu will back down right now after failing in his bluff or he will do something so stupid that will burn the whole region down and global economy with it.
If he backs down and remains silent and stops attacking lebanon then we are going to have a deal more in to favour for Iran.

His political career is in risk and may end up jail if continues this illegal war. He got no choice but withdraw his supports for Amalek entity.
